You can do it man.. The biggest prob you would have to tackle though is time management. Balance between school life and the outside world. lol

Ok... so, I'm need beung curious and would like some help.

This is one of my dad's CTs after his accident. LeForte 3 (?) fracture? So, there is all this weird stuff in the pic that I can't tell what it is. My mom says this is the original CT from the trauma bay, but it looks like it is one of his after they did some stabilizing, but before reconstruction. Can any of you tell me what the non-organic parts are in this pic???

^^Yikes, that looks like a mess. Hope your dad is okay.

For those of you already working - What is your hospital's policy on beards? I know some don't mind but you just have to keep whatever you have, due to the fitting of respirator masks.

Would your hospital let you grow a beard like this? Tempted to start growing one once I find a job after I graduate.

    Or more appropriately,

My immediate guess is no, but a guy can dream.

Lake Tahoe in June is nice, I don't mind staying at Monte Blue but there is a more botique/chic inn called basecamp hotel that is nice ... though I often reminisce of my numberous biking trips through the Napa or Sonoma valley to the botique wineries (recently did a 50 mile ride in sonoma on a mountain bike and hit like 12-15 wineries.. was pretty sauced toward the end)... Morimotos in napa has some bomb sushi it's right on the napa river. Yosemite is always fun but it's kind of a crap shoot due to the asains that populate the park at that time (I have family that lives in yosemite)... Road tripping down the coast highway 1 and visiting the sights is always fun- I typically like to start at fort bragg then make my way to santa cruz (passes through SF too).... Theres tons more places or things to do, I could really write a book on all the places to go and incorporate drinking/fun along the way hahaha... my parents own a houseboat on Lake Oroville too if you just want me to rub babby oil all over your body for a week (not srs...jk dead fukn srs)... though the water level is quite low due to drought

I don't know much about oregon co nv az or wa but California has everything any other state has, and ours is just as good- if not better.

Jeuss Christ, no. Please dont grow that first one. Dirty hipster/10. Plus, when that trach patient coughs in your face, whatcha going to do? save the germs in your neckbeard till you can get home and shampoo it?
BRB, sterile dressing change and one of your face pubes falls out of the side where there is no mask and lands on your PICC site.

Please... no. keep it a trim goatee, where it can be covered by a mask

I road tripped from norcal to Seattle not too long ago, I stopped briefly in medford, portland and stayed in seattle for a while... it's meh... I went to the pikes market and space needle, other than that just a bunch of homeless people and hipster type people... not as pretty as SD, SF, Chicago, etc.. This guy makes a most excellent point... I dont know about the baby oil, but we have some amazing attributes here on the bestcoast.

I worked in Reno as a traveller... calling it a rathole is an insult to ratholes everywhere. I wouldnt really work in Vegas either though. But, I just don't like Vegas a whole lot.

The violence... I am scared for my life as well as the well being of my mammary glands and my future children's potential to be nourished. Maybe I can get a concealed weapons permit for Cali now!!

    Yeah right...

Even there.... SO much drug and alcohol abuse, so much garbage. And slimey people.

For real though, Reno had so many drug babies it was ridic. And sad. And so few resources. Like, they did pediatric surgery but had no peds surgeon. It was an adult trauma surgeon. Have never seen a dehisced would on a nenoate, much less multiplede patients with dehisced abdominal incisions. No physical therapist, no occupational therapist. We had a baby born with c. diff and they didnt contact ID.. they put him in an isolette and called it isolation. No sign about hand sanitizers not being effective, no nothing. Next thing you know, over half the unit has spores in their stool. GJDM.

Plenty of places in CA as crappy as Reno in regards to what is being discussed here. Also, I have a beard that is currently about 2 inches. I just put a mask over it when need be.

yes we have the ****tiest places and best places... its polarized for sure... I was born in ventura, grew up a bit in oxnard, then lived in thousand oaks (ppl literally have lambos there) with my aunt when my dad got deported (she was hot AF, like me, kinda) and then I lived in yosemite and made my way to chico... joined the military went across the world and decided norcal is my place... I cant say that every has had the chance to travel the globe and country and decide with confidence in a place to live, I did.

The tests results are confirmed... that was a lie... you actually enjoy that type of behavior.

actually only been to LV on a layover... felt like a waste of money... would rather mountain bike across Tahoe and Kayak lake tahoe than blow 5k getting drunk and pretending i make more than 42.50 an hour.

Reno I only went there once because my dad was black out drunk and I drove him, and for a project back in college and when I Saw reno in the light... I was literally disgusted... I left my hotel and went to tahoe, srs.

Do you rub hand sanitizer in it every few hours to keep the yucks out of it?

And although the thing about Cali having just as bad a spots, you're probably right. But Cali also has some redeeming qualities. NV.... not a damned one. Except Tahoe. And the closest place to Tahoe is Reno... which is just full of nope.

    1. Don't be spilling my secrets.

    2. Lots of fake ballers. Just like LA.

    3. I can't believe I was in Reno for a couple months in the winyer and never made it to Tahoe. But in my defense, it was 2009... not a travel NICU job anywhere in the country, not a FT position anywhere from GA/SC/NC, worked 72hrs a week my first month there and then contract cancelled when census dropped... and broke as a mofo. So, I was not about to put gas in my car to drive to Tahoe. And spend any $$. Was hard times back then guise.... and have yet to make it back to Tahoe. Dun goof'd

No, lol. I just wash it when I get home just like I would any other body part. I bring my beard soap to work in case anything ever got into contact that didn't need to.
