    Shoulder recovery time

I have recently injured my shoulder. The physiotherapist has indicated I may have a tear in my Infraspinatis (Muscle and tendon of the rotator cuff). I have a new recovery program to help build stability in the entire shoulder. However, I was told it could be anything from a 4 to 8 week recovery period (I'm hoping it's only 4).

For people that have experienced this injury are you able to provide me how long it has taken you to recover.

I read that Chuck Norris once injured his rotator cuff and he said it took him about 6 weeks to recover with some light training.

Just went through one about 6 weeks ago. I'd say I have another 2 - 3 weeks. Recovery time would be around 7 weeks then because there's a difference between healing and recovery.

Make sure not to get stressed about it and learn from it. I had a back injury last year and took me 8 months to get back because I was stressed out, which severely exacerbated the pain and made me fearful of the gym. Look at this website bboyscience.com It has helped me so much. Good luck man

I was thinking I might actually have a tear in one of my spinatus muscles too...

How did you physiotherapist determine you had a tear?

And in your mind, how did you know it was severe enough to see your doctor in the first place? I think I just have a strain but I'm debating it...and I don't really want to spend the money for a doctors appointment and him sending me to the specialist or whatever.
