Half-a$sed Update for Tues March 11th
Today's Leg session consisted of a lying leg press with light weight and 3 sets of 20 reps. I followed that up with 3 sets each of leg extensions and lying leg curls. Next I did 3 x 10 of the unilateral seated chest supported row machine to stimulate the upper back in place of deadlifting. Finally I finished with the dog taking a piss glutes machine which I couldn't figure out another name for. Saw the rock at the gym today! lol Phelycia was jealous that she still hasn't seen him and was at work instead.
This was a lot more than I was able to do last time and my back feels good! Excited that I will likely be able to pick back up with proper lower body workouts by next week. Tomorrow is Strength Upper day, so lets hope my pressing is still on the upswing and I can get a bench PR!

**My set up was just about as perfect and consistent as possible today, also I had a good spotter/ liftoff giver. **Last set was quite difficult and the last rep was a hell of a grinder so I will definately keep this weight next week.

Chest supported row (not the seated unilateral machine)
**4 talkative women were hanging out/ casually using the machine I normally use for like 30 minutes so I did this instead

**LOL total fail on this today. I'll chalk it up to me being fatigued from bench press PR time

**Not at all a bad session. I'm feeling very optimistic about my back being 100% by next week.
On a serious, more life related note:
I'm planning on proposing to Phelycia very soon. I have no doubts that she is the one that I want to spend the rest of my life with, and I now have the means by which to afford an engagement ring. I'm not sure how or where I am going to do it quite yet. We will likely not get married for a couple of years, but I want to show her that I am committed to her and us having a life together. I'm very excited.

Concerning my back: I will definitely have to go without squats and deads for at least another week. I had so much hope since my back was feeling better that I decided to go and do light squats in my last leg workout and it ended up aggravating my back. I'm not really sure how to proceed. For lower body I will probably just do what I was doing minus the light squats. Also, I noticed that OHP seems to contribute to pain the next day so I may need to just do a complete removal of any spinal loading exercises.
Should I eat at maintenance during this next week to help preserve strength and aid with recovery, or do you guys think I'll be ok to stay in a deficit as long as I hit all appropriate muscle groups without irritating the low back issue?
