    keep dieting? or bulk time?

well here's my story, about 3 years ago I used to be super committed to going to the gym and eating healthy but as my uni school work got harder I started getting lazy and eating like a slob. So, last month I weighed myself and I was 174 pounds, so I freaked out and I have been dieting ever since. As of yesterday I weighed 162 pounds, but I don't know if I should keep dieting until about 150-155 because I feel like my body type wont allow me to get that ripped look that everyone wants. Rather, I seem to be built like a mini 5'6 tank with a thick chest/rib cage and no hope for abs.

    me now:

so, what should I do? continue to diet?

I would continue in a calorie deficit for at least another month and a half whilst lifting as hard as you can, and at that point reevaluate where you stand. You may find that when you get lean enough that you might lack the muscle mass to look good very lean, but thats where bulking comes in
There is always someone less fortunate, with real hunger, with real adversity, who made something of themselves. What is your excuse?

Anybody can get very lean, it takes patience and a calorie deficit. That's it.

Anyway, even if the ultimate goal is tank, I would keep cutting and get lean as possible before you bulk.

Or you could eat to stay the same weight and just focus on making strength gains.
