1/1/2013 New Years Squatting TJM 5's Wave Intensification
So I made a new years resolution. I am going to keep being awesome and count all my squat reps for 2013.
Walk 5 minutes on treadmill
Lots of mobility stuff-I was super tight today

Notes: I had my kids with me so had to keep this one short. Squats where really easy, which is odd because I looked at the numbers and kinda had that little negative feeling in the back of my head. Very happy with todays workout and cant wait until its time to smash next weeks squats.

Alright so I survived working for the first time in a month the last two days. It is really freaking cold out right now. I also finally came down with the bug my family has been passing around, but never got to me. Before work on Wednesday, I got in a short upper misc workout. Its not anything worth logging, but here it is anyway.
Walk 5 minutes
Foam roll
Mobility stuff
DB OHP:

*This was when I realized that I was getting sick. I couldnt catch my breathe after this set at all. This isnt normally a weight that would cause any problems, so it was odd and memorable.
Hang clean and strict press:
95X5
115X3
135X3
*Celan once and press for reps. Wrist still isnt quite liking the clean yet. I will wait until Feb to try again.
Rear delt Flies:
50X5X10
Notes: I got called into work about 30 minutes prior than I expected to be. I had to cut out all my brocep curls Terrible workout was terrible and I still feel awful as I type this. Hoping to get to the gym to deadlift and do event work tomorrow.

the idea of counting your squats all year is pretty cool man.

Probably just a local strongman show and maybe a UPA p/l meet.
It all depends on how my work schedule ends up. Right now it is looking like I need to go about 5 hours from home to hold a job. If this does happen, all my plans are on hold.

Any competition is better than no competition. When I say that strongman is a brotherhood, I mean it. You learn more through failure than you ever will through success.

a crew to train with, who will set the weights to what i am capable seems more productive than attempting a comp where i cannot manage 1 rep
for example, if i do motor city the objects will not move... like pushing against a wall
wish i could join military but can't because i'm a criminal crew

maybe pm thom and see if you can make the drive and train with him once a month or so.

Didnt get a chance to make it to the gym as I now watch my daughter all day and my wife had a PTA meeting. I started keeping better track of eating and trying to hit better macros.

A touch low on protein, but not a terrible macros day all around.

only training thus far has been with a barbell & 1 light weight truck
and i'm now at a point in life where it is practical to make such journeys
