You can't comprehend or read can you?
The spine is made to deal with major compression if it wasn't we wouldn't be able to run or do anything.
You basically just proved it to yourself, that no site says running stunts your growth.
Squats don't stunt your growth. There is no factual evidence or proof of squats stunting your growth. Every site says squatting stunting your growth is a myth.
If squatting stunts growth with 1 year + training, please explain to me why my friends achieved their maximum height at age 17 when they been squatting since they were 14. Seriously, you squat yourself and 6'6. Don't say I could of had that extra 1 or 2 inch because no, other people earlier in this thread already addressed the fact that it temporarily makes you shorter.
Fine, lets take running puts more pressure on your spine, jumping, basically which is almost done in every sport, puts on way more pressure on your spine than squatting.
Please understand my point squats don't stunt growth, there is no way you can prove it, because there is no study or proof that it actually has.
If you're still going to refuse.

"I should also point out that the compression forces on your son's legs and spine are far greater in running and jumping than they will ever be in a bodybuilding exercise like squatting. Compression forces in running and jumping can exceed 5 times his bodyweight. If he's not squatting over 700 pounds, he's generating greater compression in normal daily activities. If you look at it, lifting weights didn't do a thing to stunt the growth of Shaquille O'Neal, David Robinson, Karl Malone, Michael Vick, etc. All started lifting in their early teens, and all have gone on to be over 6' tall and star in professional sports. Dave Draper and Arnold Schwarzenegger started lifting younger than that; again, both are 6'1" or taller. Many high school teams start their freshmen on lifting programs, meaning your son started at a perfectly appropriate age. "

On average, Marathon runners are 1/4 inch shorter after the race compared to before.

First of all hats off to you for writing and doing so much research except all of the sources are by bodybuilders who don't know nearly as much about the body internally as doctors. The marathon runner thing maybe true but it takes na average person 4 and a half hours to run a marathon. Are you really going to do squats for 4 and a half hours? Its kinda common sense bro. You have weight on your shoulders and are being compressed down compared to just running freely. Which is gonna put your spine in more stress. Its a controversial issue but again it depends on the person too.

Stop arguing huge essays and just get to the point. Exercise likely does play a role in how tall you grow. Your body releases growth hormone during bouts of intense exercise (10min).. so in theory if you did 10mins of intense exercise morning, noon, evening etc (or more frequent if you wish) you will grow more. Keep in mind endurance has the opposite effect.
You also release GH in your sleep.. so get plenty of that too.. and EAT, the most important thing,
Squats will not stunt your growth, that's just ridiculous.

Do the ****ing barbell squats. HEAVY! I was in other sports before (skijumping, european brahs should be aware) and i did basically nothing else than squatting for almost 4 years now.
brb i'm the tallest in my family at the age of 17
brb my dad is 5'6
brb brother who's also a professional is 6'0 @ 19
brb i'm 6'1.5 and still growing till 21+
Please OP. Do the squats with a PROPER form (no rounded back, but deep enough)
other leg exercises: leg press, straight legged hamstring deadlifts, leg extensions, leg curls, lunges, hacksquats, don't forget calves too
but none of them is as effective than squats"No pressure no diamonds"
"Lifting partners are a really strong bond between two unusually sexy dudes.
It’s like a marriage of muscle, a sacred matrimony of mass.
It’s a cocktail of testosterone.
It’s just two completely straight heterosexual dudes getting together... Getting SWOLE"
