Last routine was SS with quite a bit of accessory work.
Lifts are
Bench press
200lbs 3x5
OHP
85lbs 3x8
Deadlift
265lbsx1
Leg press 470lbs 3x5
Want to move to a four day split.
I like the way 5/3/1 really allows me to focus on the compound of the day.
I also like the fact that I can add ample assistance work with the bodybuilder template. Felt good doing something different and I really like the principles of the program.
Also I'm cutting slightly right now.
Goals are to cut down slightly and go right back to bulking.

I honestly wouldnt be looking to add "ample accessory work" until you are done cutting
You generally dont want to be increasing volume when transitioning to a cut and this will already be adding a day to your routine.
I think you are ready to increase frequency (4x a week) as I think a slightly higher frequency is better, but that means less volume per session (at least until you start bulking again).Founder of MMDELAD
