    Adventure to men's physique.

    Well I never thought I would be on this adventure. My mom is competing in her first show November 3rd, 2012 at age 44. She would like nothing more then for me to compete as well. Since I am such a good son I decided to try and shape up. I contacted Stan (demonwareltd) as a prep coach to guide me along the way. With his guidance I feel I am going to come in at tip top shape for this show! Follow his log

    Up at 5, killed some breakfast, and out by 5:30. Had a pretty solid workout, feel like my bi's were struggling a bit. Could be to the change up in the diet, but we will see how it progress'. Cardio after heavy legs was real fun...

    Alarm went off at 5 this morning, didn't budge. With my girlfriend and are two kids Help, I'm up at 5:45. Woke up feeling unstoppable. I have my mind on a goal, and I WILL get there. Killed breakfast and at the gym at 6:25. If you've never taken "thrust" and have trouble sleeping, take it! I sleep like a dang zombie. Other than that I've only noticed a slight increase in endurance, yet it's only been a week. Any ways, got some food, the workout, and my kids for viewing pleasure

    Ha! I get alot of people with the kids reference. No real kids for me yet, hopefully not for a couple more years Although the husky is a year and a half and i swear he is smarter then some kids out there, his personality is insane!

    Weigh in Wednesday: 154.6

    Down .4 from Saturday so I think were right on schedule, actually didn't think I'd drop much if any the first week.

    This morning just rocked out 30 minutes of incline walking burning ~350 cals, cable woodchoppers, and weighted decline crunches.

    Found out two guys from my gym that are competing just started some sort of roids. A little de-motivating but just another reason to bust more a$$!

    It's always motivating to see the scale move in the right direction, especially when you are eating a bit more calories than you think you should be. Gotta fuel the machine so you can kill the workouts though...

    Don't worry about the roiders. There are a few guys in my gym who openly use them and while their size can be intimidating at times, if you put in the work and follow the plan, you will end up leaner and have a more pleasing physique. Remember that leanness will trump size majority of the time and the only thing you can do is get yourself in the best shape possible and not worry about what others are doing.

    This is very true, I have my mind set on one thing and i dont plan on taking any detours.

    On a side note, I took this morning as a cardio day but im feeling good so i might have to tear up some shoulder tonight!

    Its unique stuff that is for sure. The first time I took it I didn't want to leave the gym. I couldn't get enough! It's good stuff though. I can send you a scoop or two of it

    So after work I took a solid hour and a half nap, so decided to go ahead and hit shoulders tonight. Feeling good and hit a PR!

    Today was a planned day off since my sleep schedule has been out if whack but of course that didn't happen thanks to the dog. Tossed and turned till 530 and decided to just go hit arms. Turned out to be a pretty good session even hit a couple PR's.


    Of course pandora starts me off with this song. Rather fitting.

    I"m quite impressed with your overall strength for a guy your size. Those DB Shoulder Presses are crazy - your shoulders must be much stronger than mine.

    I know you are amped up and motivated beyond belief, but don't forget to take your rest days. I know you feel like sitting still is a waste of time and there is work to do, but your body will thank you in the long run. It's a long road to November.

    If anything, on my off days I will perform 20-30 minutes of LIGHT cardio. Something like elliptical or just taking a brisk walk outside. I too hate off days and sitting around, but they are necessary and do your body more good than you can know.

    My shoulders never seem to really "pop" so I have always worked my shoulders more than most body parts, probably to much. My roommate is 6'0 215lbs so he usually doesnt let me off easy which sucks for the time being, but has helped a ton.

    I hate taking days off, as you have noticed! You nailed me on the head. I know I need the rest especially to grow but sitting around kills me. Especially with the gym only 2 miles from my apartment. I don't plan on seeing the gym again until Saturday. Especially with chest day coming up, everybody loves a fresh body on chest day!

    I feel ya bro! thats the only thing I hate about the offseason...for me, I always have to take off more days and it sucks!...but long term = more muscle...so it kinda balances out lol

    Struggling to get through the day, so I was suckered into buying a pick me up. Black coffee isn't ideal when it's 105 degrees outside. Also found this "Fred" water which comes in a cool ass flask looking bottle. I had to buy it!

    Finally took a morning off to sleep! This is the first time ive gotten 8 hours in a loooong time and it feels good. Not hitting the gym at all today, i need a solid day off. Unfortunately being 21 means all my friends want to go out on the weekends. So i will be the water drinking, no junk food eating DD for the night!

    One week down, 2.2 pounds down. Weighing in today at 152.8!

    Feeling leaner already, and I still have 15 weeks to go. KILLING it.

    Last night went well, didn't deviate off the plan stayed sober and saw the movies savages which was pretty sick.
    Had my friends from Appalachian State hit the gym with me so the workout changed a bit but I tore sh!t up!

    The workout: did 5,4,3,2,1 on flat bench which was killer. Followed by a triple DB incline dropset. Here it is, topped it off with a 30 minute elliptical session.
