Only the absurdly naive ones.
I doubt many posters here feel that way.

People think steroids shouldn't be prevalent in sports.
BRB cursing players for using drugs while they sit and watch the game and get completely wasted.
Solid logic is solid.

I just find it funny how people think a harsher penalty is going to do anything. The bottom line is when a player knows he has a chance at a 50-100-200 million dollar contract, he's going to do whatever it takes to get it.

You can pin this on baseball and congress. Historians and seam heads were furious that their hallowed statistics were compromised. And this drummed up all this faux outrage because everyone turned a blind eye to begin with. Which is because historically baseball statistics have been ingrained in the game and a viable way to compare players and eras.
People can't even begin to drum up that same level of anger at the use of PEDs in football or other realms of athletics. In football we all just want to see the biggest guys moving the fastest and hitting the hardest regardless of what means they are using to maximize their performance. And people care more about what happens on the field of action rather than pure statistics.
Eventually I think the issue of steroids will become less of an issue. Every couple years there is a new faster iPhone, computer operating system, browser, technology, etc. Basically our entire culture emphasizes and embraces advancement and maximizing performance and efficiency except when it comes to the human body.

Pretty much, at the end of the day it is just a game for your entertainment, nothing more. Also, wrestling is scripted, and so are most of your favorite reality shows.
Sorry I burst your bubble.
I can't even stomach most of the comments on Yahoo or any other infotainment news source, for any news. It's worse than any R/P argument on the misc. Full on retard, all the time.

What makes steroids a terrible PED and every thing else okay?
The reason it's banned is because it gives an unfair advantage to the user right? But think of all of the unfair advantages that exist legally that affect athletes. Players born in the US have an unfair advantage over international players. Players born in southern states have an unfair advantage over players born in northern states. Players with rich family have an unfair advantage over poor players.
If it's because it is a drug, then isn't penicillin an unfair performance enhancer, what about antibiotics? These are drugs that are easily available in N.A, but are rare in other countries and positively affect athletic development all through life.

Don't forget about cortisone injections, but they aren't the bad sterons so let's shoot 'em up! Nothing wrong with a quick shot to get back in the game, right?

If most anabolics are out of your system within a month, and athletes are aware of when the testing is to occur.....
