Wow. I suck. I haven't updated in a long time and maybe that's why my fitness levels have suffered. I know posting on here definitely helped with my accountability.
I have hired Kim to help me get back on track and ditch my Texas 20 lol. Need to get back into working out. I was suffering a bit of depression with not working, little money and not having focus to my life.
We have bought a basic smith again and some bars and weights so I can work out from home once more. Needless to say doing it in 85+ in the garage is a whole new ballgame.
Here's to a successful 16 weeks of dieting and hopefully the start to a successful maintenance in the end.

Day 1 was mostly successful. My office I'm working in is so frickin cold that I have no desire to drink water during the day! So need to start drinking hot water I guess.
I'm doing and upper/lower split to get back into it. Upper A complete was good but disappointing the loss of strength but I know it will come back. Was probably 90+ degrees in my garage so had a good sweat on top of it"That's not sweat that's your fat cells crying" anonymous

Hey Chad! Need to plan that holiday south once your beautiful lady is home
Nutrition has been good, had a bbq with neighbors yesterday and stayed away from beer. Didn't take my scale over but focused on mostly protein on my plate then veggies and a bit of carbs. Since I'm not competing I want to find balance in life too.
Did lower A yesterday in my garage it was 96 degrees on there so guess it will be like hot yoga lol
Will try to slowly catch up on journals this week but not sure what my jobs internet policy is and I hate reading/posting from my phone. (Still have a iPhone 5)"That's not sweat that's your fat cells crying" anonymous

Not sure how and really y'all know I'm a Canadian in Texas.
Nutrition is okay having trouble with fats/carb macros working out. Over in carbs, under in fats but keeping total calories in line. Big drop first couple days and now just inching off but trend is lower I thought I would have had a larger drop with the carb reduction but beggars can't be choosers.
Did upper B yesterday. Tweaked my lower back a bit doing RDL's so felt it during my lat pull downs so kept it lighter but focused on contraction. Hot as hades in the garage again - once I figure out my permanent employment I'll have to see if I can find time for the gym as 90+ is really not fun to work out in even with fans."That's not sweat that's your fat cells crying" anonymous

Wheels fell off the wagon on the weekend but as Kim helped me see it pointed out triggers and patterns. Have been back on track this week and back to where I was last week before the backslide so hopefully with much better planning and mental fortitude I will get through this weekend better.
Xavier has been playing box lacrosse with the high school boys (we met the Texas State U Assist. Coach at the Div 1 university finals, and he is running this program). He is doing so well and other than height he holds his own with the boys - I'll post some pics from home later. The coach has asked me to help him start a box lacrosse league down here for his age group I said yes. LOL not like I am not busy already but I love box and so does X so it would be nice to get a program running. Pioneers I guess.
Workouts have been fairly good, did legs on Monday and must have crushed them good cause I am just starting to be able to sit down on the toilet properly....good thing it is leg day again today
Need to get 2-3 more workouts in this week by Sunday. Today I am off work early as we only do a 6 hr day, I am heading over to my stall where I keep my book art to add some more pieces, then home so should be able to get my workout in today.
I have set up a FB page for my art - please like and share if you are willing trying to grow the business and now that I have found out I can ship continental US for $5 it makes it more reasonable to expand business.
It is called Tamara's Triffles

I'm back. Again.....
I am so much more accountable for my workouts when I am on here. I fell off the fitness wagon however I have still been working with Kim on nutrition, slowly but surely I was losing weight until this last week but my family came down from Canada for a week and I decided that enjoying my time with them was more important to me that week than weighing and measuring foods plus we ate out almost every night due to activities. Back on track now trying to ditch some of the water weight I am sure I gained and resetting my mindset into diet mode again.
Life has been busy with the kids but we will be somewhat getting into an easier routine soon as both kids are practicing at the same time for hockey which makes my job as mom so much more pleasant. Hubz has been home more often too so that is a huge help as I don't have to do all the running myself. Kids go back to school next week, Xavier starts middle school I was not ready to be the mom of a middle schooler and we did the orientation on Tuesday and I think I was more flustered than he was. Life will start becoming more predictable and I can start carving out me time again.
I found a full time job at a really cool place called Pearl Brewery. It is an old brewery that has been revitalized into a downtown experience with restaurants, retail, music, event hosting, hotel, apartments, cooking school....anything you can think of a trendy and hip place its here. We are opening a jazz club here later this month. My job is a mix between all the pieces and property development is totally new to me so it is awesome. they are a great place to work and I have found a good job with life balance as I am allowed to alter my schedule to match my kids sports needs.
Here's to soon being a regular again Miss all you guys."That's not sweat that's your fat cells crying" anonymous

I'll try and make it a more permanent stay
It is huge especially with the amount of sports that we have our kids involved in, I believe that our kids are much more important than work and everything I do is to strive to make their lives that much easier than mine to achieve something (not silver spoon but give them opportunities to learn/try/grow). Work will always be there.
Its a pretty awesome place, if you guys come down I think you would love it. www.atpearl.com"That's not sweat that's your fat cells crying" anonymous

So yesterday was our 15th wedding anniversary. Hard to believe 15 years has passed already, we are starting to tip the scales where we have been together longer than apart. We were very lucky to find each other young and realize what a great team we are. In our 15 married years we have made and taken some huge chances and I totally believe every one has been right in the long run, may not have felt that way at the start but time has shown we are on the right track.
In our typical fashion the night went like this:
- meet the teacher for Lexi
- hockey practice for both kids including Xavier having dryland an hour before practice which means leaving our house by 4:30
- late supper after they get home at 8:30
- bevvies with the neighbors in their garage as we haven't seen much of them this last few weeks
- bed
LOL so exciting. This weekend is jamb packed with sports - Saturday Lexi has a baseball tournament (technically Xavier too as they play on same team but he also has hockey which has precendence), Xavier has hockey exhibition games in Houston then Sunday Xavier has box lacrosse practice with middle school, then box lacrosse practice with the varsity boys (will tell more later), then Lexi has an exhibition hockey game, and last but not least Xavier has hockey practice. The only saving grace on Sunday is it is all at the same arena. We will arrive around 1:45 and not leave til after 7:30
Both kids made the travel hockey team here and Lexi is the only female player in the travel group. Xavier's coach is a former Semipro player so it has been a great experience for him. Both kids are getting serious in their hockey with dryland homework needing to be done 3 days outside of hockey practice nights. Xavier has also been practicing with the Varsity boys for box lacrosse and I have been roped into helping the coach potentially start a league here in San Antonio as there is no box lacrosse only field. The coach for box is a Head Coach of the Texas State university and has coached Div 1 level teams in the past so definitely the right guy to be associated with if we think X has a future in lacrosse down the road.
(no workout last night) LOL very typical at the moment, hoping things settle down next week as we only have 2 hockey practices and 1 volleyball during M-F"That's not sweat that's your fat cells crying" anonymous

Thanks Guys.
Last weekend was a bit of a bust in the sense that baseball didn't wrap up. We were rained out - what's the likelihood in Aug in Texas to be rained out. Slim to nil but it happened, now ball extends into this weekend to try and play the playoff tournament again.
Our full day Sunday turned out well, Xavier had 3 hours of lax practice between 1 hour with middle school and 2 hours with varsity, Lexi had an exhibition hockey game that she rocked and played awesome, the team won 4-2, Xavier then had hockey practice dryland and ice time. We were at the arena from 1:30-7:30. I took my car so Lexi and I could leave after her game since Monday was our first day back to school and I wanted to get her settled in and ready to go.
First days went well for both except Xavier forgot his bus number and missed it, N picked him up on the way to hockey practice. Yesterday he made it home fine.
I'm doing the kids dryland homework with them and last night was the first time through Xavier's new routine, it changes every two weeks, and man we did 60 wall sits with 15 sec rest times 3. My quads were burning for this old lady who has not done nearly enough lately. Then Lexi picked to do wall sits in her dryland too
Ball tonight, hockey tomorrow, ball and volleyball Friday, hockey and ball Sat, lax and hockey Sun - good thing I love my kids"That's not sweat that's your fat cells crying" anonymous

We had a crazy weekend. Started Saturday morning at 5am for Lexi and I as she had hockey practice at 6:30 and needed to be at the rink by 6am. We live about 35-40min away from the rink on a good day with no traffic, which thankfully at 5:30am there isn't any). She had practice then video review for an hour after the practice, the moms just hung out. Some crazy moms came even when they hubbies were there - nuh uh I would have totally been in bed. We then had breakfast with some of the teammates as we were waiting for hubz and Xavier to wake up. Stopped at my store and left a new book there and then meet them to leave a car as we had to drive to Austin for Xavier's exhibition games. He played two games then jumped back into the car to drive home for their playoff baseball game at 7pm back in San Antonio. Thankfully the one team forfeited so we played the championship game right away and lost but we hadn't been able to beat that team all year so wasn't a surprise, they were the better team.
That insane day ended up making a very tired Tamara for Sunday so we didn't do a heck of a lot. Relaxed in the morning and then Xavier had hockey practice but Lexi and I stayed home and got ready for the week.
Diet hasn't been great but sitting around 149 which is around 8 pounds down since starting. My diet included a week break when my family was in town as we ate out almost every meal and I didn't want to be restricted since I don't know when I will see them again. I'm frustrated with my lack of willpower when there is no goal other than my personal sanity. I just fall off the wagon too easy. So Kim and I have talked about doing PSMF starting on Monday. We have a hockey tournament in Dallas this weekend so it will be another crazy time as Lexi's first game on Saturday is at 5:45am that should not be allowed! PSMF also allows for a less rigorous workout requirement which will fit my lifestyle right now and I am hoping with a jump start on weight loss that the motivation will come.
I am still having lots of pain issues which isn't helping me and some days it hurts to just walk so need to start figuring out next steps one of these days but I have no idea what they are."That's not sweat that's your fat cells crying" anonymous
