Been to both. Love Manhattan and loved the area I stayed in London.

Now, are we comparing all of NYC to London, or just Manhattan? If just Manhattan I think they are even.

What about crime? I think the other boroughs or NYC would bring down the total score because of crime/gangs/etc.

If a number of millionaires/important people have the option of living in NYC or London, most would choose NYC, and for a good reason.

Nothing against London though, it's a close 2nd, followed by Tokyo, Paris and Hong Kong.

May have something to do with taxes. The channel islands has the greatest never of millionaires per square mile.
