Took a double take when I saw that picture, looked like the exact same set I picked up a few weeks back. Noice set of Billards, enjoy them!

When I looked this morning, one picture was duplicated so I changed it for the 4 finished 5s.
I used white distilled Vinegar and let them soak for 2 hours. Then used a brass brusk to clean and then dried them. Then sprayed WD40 on them and let them sit for 15 minutes then dried them off again and took them up to the gym
And thanks!

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

100lb USA stamped plates
Hello,
I have tried to find out where these plates were made but can't track down any solid leads. They were in OK shape when I got them, however I decided to refinish them. I have a pair of 45lb plates that are marked the same way, they weight in at 47lbs each and the 100s are between 101.8-102lbs each. Any leads on their manufacture or origin would be appreciated, Thanks.

All Body Deep Dish Olympic Plates
I picked up these All Body Deep Dish Olympic Plates some time back. All Body was a fitness equipment store in Closter, NJ (I've had or have other Olympic plates manufactured by them but the looks are more along the lines with the Standard or Cap Olympic plates out there) that is no longer in business.
The picture isn't as nice as I would like it but both paints are blue-colored (the 35's are a darker shade than the 45's). As far as I can tell it's the original paint.

Use a mixture of Oxalic acid and check them after about 4 - 5 hours, if you get them out and wipe them off good once the rust appears to be gone oil them and they'll look great. Leave them intoo long and the paint will start coming off. BTW, this is a very mild acid, but cleans rusty plates and DB's with very little effort.

What I used was oxalic powder, I mixed about 5-6 tablespoons per gallon. I mixed about 4 gallons and I've reused the same mixture multiple times and it's still cleaning effectively. How long to soak depends on the amount and severity of the rust. The shortest time was about 4 hours or so and the longest was on some very heavy rusted plates that needed around 12 hours or so.

not bad for $13.77 for 2 york speed collars and 2 2.5lb plates.Last edited by matrix563; 11-17-2018 at 02:33 PM.

Jackson Barbell
Jackson Barbell from Springfield, New Jersey was one of the York Barbell's East Coast competitors. The deep dish plates (w/ and w/o fins on the hub) that likely mirrored the production era of York are pretty neat, but does anyone have info on the bored-out standard plates like the 50s or 100s seen in NDMike's and Dexter000's collections?
