i know! im almost positive I could break 525+ off the ground and to my knees lol.
guess i'm going to take a break from trying 500 and work on my lock out. I truly believe i'm capable of 500. however i dont make the correct decisions to pull 500. my week leading up to this max didn't make any sense. maxed last week, squatted heavy 3 times, pulled 2 times, etc.
maybe if my hands wouldnt have ripped the second attempt woulda been mine

I am not a low bar expert.
But I didn't see any sort discernable hip drive.
Lifting heavy things and makin' movies.

That feel when can break much more off the floor than can actually deadlift...
I know that feel.
It looks like you just need some practice pulling past your knees. The issue is as much related to a bar path that gets wonky past your knees as it is your strength. It just looks like you're losing your groove past your knees--it's almost as if you want to hitch unnecessarily near the top and end up throwing yourself off. I bet if you just get the reps in at lockout, it'll start feeling more comfortable with max weights.
Best competition lifts (148, raw w/ wraps): 501 squat, 303 bench press, 573 deadlift, 1355 total.
Best gym lifts: 520 squat, 310 bench press, 575 deadlift, 1405 total.

Yes I will be experimenting with block pulls at 4"+! Thanks for the critique.
Also ANY more advice on low bar squat would be appreciated it. How is the bar placement? Feels horrible but isn't that how it works?

I remember when I tried low bar once and I looked just like that. Never tried it again. Think it was due to poor shoulder mobility. I also do the shoulder dislocations weekly at home. High-bar just feels so much more comfortable.
Those 500 lb DLs came off the floor quite easily imo. Just yeah the lockout didn't happen. I'm not an expert on this but I guess some partial DLs are in order.
And you're cutting now? You're 181 lbs right now and what to cut to how much? What're your goals?

You'll get calluses. Make sure the bar doesn't roll up on the spine of your scapula.

Bring hands out if you're having elbow problems or man the phuck up. As for your actual squat low bar, you looked like you initiated at the knees rather than through the hips. Plus that upper back rounding as other people said.
