I've read many times that you need to rest your abs and core between each workout; it's not an every-day section, it must be rested just like the other body segments. However, I've heard contradicting information in the form that you're allowed to work out your abs and core daily because the muscle regeneration is simply quicker and cleaner than that of any other bodily segment.
Can someone with true knowledge and experience shed some light on the topic? I think addressing this would be beneficial to many, at least I'd assume so after hearing so much contradiction all from multiple supposedly reliable sources. Thanks guys, appreciate it!

I've been running with a 16-minute (inc. 1.5 total min dynamic stretching at beginning and end for back/core) ab-workout with high difficulty and 10-16 rep sets of lower, middle and upper ab-centric purpose as well as overall core focus in the form of core-oriented plank styled workouts. It's pretty intensive and really gets a burn going, although I don't think it's quite as ab-bulking as incline weighted situps (or any variation of weighted situps) or weighted crunch type workouts. Does the trick well.
Based on that, do you think I should take a single day between each, take 3 days between each, or do it daily?[I deleted the accolades and stupid pride-boosting accomplishments from here; I realized it's much more important to enjoy the journey than linger on fiat ego-boosting levels of completion.
