Just took some CI now time for some cardio and upper body!

I am just now learning to make "Me" time this year....and I'm 43! (That's my gym time) Took the family a little while to adjust...me too!

How's everyone been?
The way this week is going (I know it's only Tuesday) It looks like I will be back at the gym starting Friday. The diet is still on track which I'm thankful for. It's amazing though how being out of the gym has affected my body!! My joints have been soooooo sore! I keep getting a kink in my bad knee and this is the 4th day I've had the most terrible pain in the left side of my neck down into my shoulder blade..You can hear it "pop" even, if I rub it. Not sure if I just slept on it wrong or just stress related? Anywho....I blame it all on not being in the gym! I decided to take a week or so off to regroup and such....My body not like so much!!

Family time is essential, no doubt.

It's as simple as gating the hallway and having the kids play down the hall so that mommy and daddy can have some quiet time on the couch.(for us anyway) We live outside of the city too so we can let them play outside, and we have a huge backyard. The wifey and I don't get to go out, especially lately. Finances are nil and we're barely surviving up here. If we can get one of the grandparents to watch the hellions overnight then all we may do is rent a movie. Just make sure you don't lose touch of what you and your significant other have. That has been a big problem in my relationships and I'm only realizing it now. It takes a strong mind and conscious effort to make things work smoothly, more important-happily!

Great insight. Women enjoy the simple things. We always hear about "you never take me out" or the like. Men think in grandiose terms, but women just want the no distractions kind of attention that you rarely get at home, be it kids, phone, tv, etc. Sometimes you have to turn it all off and just spend one-on-one time.

I may get kicked out of the bro's club for saying this; but, washing the dishes or cleaning up can be a sign of appreciation to a woman. They'd rather have that more than a night on the town and a sinkful of garbage when they get back.

i think it was because when he died everyone started creating threads about him so it was considered spam.

Yeah he accomplished quite a bit for only being 22, he inspired a lot of people to get up and work out. Also as much as I admire some of Arnold's accomplishments, have you read his book? I really wouldn't use him as a role model lol

From a fitness perspective they're both good role models.
