I started working out again after slacking off pretty badly and gaining something like 15 pounds over the last few years (was never really fit but was definitely fit-ter back then) but would appreciate an estimate. My resistance BF% thing on my scale says I lost 3% of BF over the last 3 weeks (kinda plausible I think since I basically went and did cardio every day and lifted 2x/week) from 28% to 25% and I was just wondering if that sounds about right?
I'm 29 (apparently that makes me an old fart here) and 5'9"

those scales are not usually very accurate, in your case you look about 30% bf, so maybe you dropped from 33% to 30%?
of course, the scale could be more accurate than me eyeballing an estimate based on a couple pictures, but those are the options we have lol
also, just so you know, exercise is good, but if you want to make real gains losing weight, you have to reduce your calorie intake, good luck!

Input appreciated. Currently 5'10 and 173 lbs. 24 y/o
First picture is from 16 months ago, and then current pictures give or take 3-4 weeks between.
Thanks!

Dang, 30%! The pics are from right after dinner but yeah, I'm counting my calories and tracking it online...was doing about 1400 cals a day but I think I'm going to aim for 1600 instead since I was always super cold with 1400. Gonna have to do my best to keep it up, it's too easy to slack off when work gets busy.
