    I looked. My guess is 25%ish. Maybe higher. When you get to 25% and over, it's tough to tell.

    18-19%.

    How long? Totally up to you. I would shoot for 4 months to get to 12%.

    Thanks for the advice. My goal was to gain more mass but I started from a bad skinny-fat state (think short and stumpy with a big ass).

    I think I'll cut for a little bit longer til cant take the size loss anymore then bulk proper.

    Repped.

    PS, if anyone else has some advice/criticism I'd love to hear it.

    I would like some estimates as well.

    40 years old, 6'2", 220 pounds. 39" waist, 17" biceps.

    I have been lifting with a trainer for about 4 months now and seeing good strength gains. I am not officially "cutting", more on a 2300 cal macro diet (230 protein, 102 Fat, 115 Carb) and have dropped about 10 pounds total. I know that I have added a good bit of muscle, so I don't really know the fat loss.

    I can tell all you young guys out there... It get's a lot harder to drop pounds as the 40's set in....

    25% + .. like others have said hard to tell after about 23%.. I'd do some cutting if I were you.. you need muscle eventually but you should probably lose some fat first.

    I think 4 months is a reasonable time, although you may find disappointing results. You dont have enough mass to cut, I'd rather put you on a recomposition. Keep lifting heavy, you said youre a newbie so reap those benefits.

    Great, thanks. That makes me feel a lot more positive! I actually keep having to up the calories in my diet every week because for the first time in my life i'm struggling to eat enough to gain weight. Ive gone from about 160lb with a 35" waist to 160lb with a 32.7" waist so I guess I'm accidentally re-comping due to noob gains right now?

    EDIT: Any guesses on the bf%?

    Me too, ive been struggling to cut even at triple digit calories, now that Im bulking-recomping I seem I cant gain weight at 2800. Awesome.

    Sorry, I cant tell BF wise. Im good at guesstimating only <15%.

    Never got an estimate on this from 9 days ago. Oddly my weight is now around 208 (was down to 203) usually but my waist at navel is only 40" now (loss of 2" since this post) and my 'pants' waist is 37" (a loss of .5"). I can't even push my gut out to 42" anymore

    Hi

    Hey there, am very new to all this, have been lifting for about 2 months now.

    Anyway:

    Weight: 72kg ; 159lb
    Height: 184cm ; 6ft 0.5in
    Waist: 86cm ; 34in
    Neck: 41cm ; 16in
    Wrist: 20cm ; 8in
    Hips: 91cm ; 36in
    Forearm 27cm 10.5in

    I did a whole lot of online calculators and ended up at an average of 16.40% Does that sound about right?

    Also any idea what my body type is?

    Looks to me to be around 18%. Drop another 10lbs and you should be close (though it's impossible to say). Hit your chest hard.
    Currently cutting.
