Is it worth me trying to do Smolov with the following issues:
1) I work shifts, so weekend workouts are sometimes impossible and some weeks it's hard to train around work at all.
2) My gym doesn't have a power rack, so doing negative squats to the pins isn't possible, and safety is an issue if failing an attempt.
3) It's going to be hard to get good spotters when not training at peak times, and sometimes no spotters will be available.
The reason I'm asking is because I'd really like to try it out and see if it will bump up my squat numbers, but I don't know if these issues are insurmountable, or whether it's possible to work around them? It just seems that everything in Smolov was prescribed very strictly, so I'm not sure how much flexibility is allowed?
If Smolov isn't suitable, then should I stick to my 2x/week squatting, or is there another program I should check out which may fit easier with my training conditions?
