Don't have to grow it out, don't have to go through the dreaded "hobo stage".
Would you do it brahs? I've been growing mine out for 2 years now and it's finally starting to look good and have no regrets srs. But growing my hair out was one of the hardest things I've done in regards to self control srs (harder than no fap)

Nah, I grew my hair out to my nipples when I was about 16 and hated it by the time I cut it off. Too sweaty and irritating and unless you are a ******* king pin or a hollywood actor it looks immature and scruffy. And if it's cause you're a metal head or something like that and wanna be unique and different, I think it's classier to actually be unique and different and have short hair, good personal hygiene and wear normal clothes. You would have no idea I was a massive black metal head if you saw me chilling in my day to day attire and smart haircut

Would give it a shot. Haven't tried it yet but it's on the bucket list - growing out the hair and beard simultaneously, like a viking.
Usually do shorter hair and scruff or beard, because the med length hair gets in the way constantly.
There's some crazy theories and beliefs about hair, particularly long hair. Allegedly it's an extension of our nervous system, intended to be antenna of sorts and to discharge energy. Human head hair is super unique in that our head and beard hairs will grow to a unique length for that person.
Supposedly after about three years the hairs stop at that persons natural length, the body stops wasting nutrients on growing it which indirectly benefits other parts of the body. They suggest our full grown hair, being longer, as antenna connect better and more deeply to the world around us, especially in the intuitive sense.
Know the saying... A womans intuition?
The army did experiment s with native Americans during the past century, using them as trackers. They tested well and tracked well, even waking up in the middle of the night when an "attacker" was approaching, lots of intuitive and sensing skills. But after receiving their military hair cuts, the skills were lost. This happened repeatedly and it was finally demonstrated that the common denominator was to let them keep their hair.Last edited by hassel35; 03-22-2014 at 05:54 AM.

Growing my hair out so I can get dreadlocks.
I always had a fascination with caps n dreads, looks pretty awesome, and also as a kid I've always watched villans like predator, and always wanted to look really big and scary. There's no reason to it. Just looks pretty sick to have dat dere lions mane on yah.

I've attempted it twice, both over 8-12 month periods, the hair care/scalp care just gets waaay to annoying. My scalp gets dry as fuk and results in dandruff and itchyness. Have tried many solutions, shampoo only every 3-4 days, shampoo everyday, NO SHAMPOO for like a whole week. Even tried massaging my scalp and hair with coconut butter/oil leaving it over night, this kind of worked but didn't like that oily look/feel that remains even after a wash.
Ah well, dad's bald, expect balding to happen anytime now anyway, such is life lol
