The EZ bar is actually really nice. It is a true split sleeve. Some of the Needle bearing and the power bars have a line in them mocking the split sleeve look.
I'm usually not a fan of rubber grips and prefer knurl but these are quite comfortable. I really like that it does not have extreme angles which allows it to be used for upright rows and lying tricep movements.

As a dealer I get them straight from York. The factory is only about 20 minutes away. They assembled and welded them yesterday, painted the welds this morning and were stamping the white numbering on them when I went in to get them at around noon. I paid wholesale which I can't disclose but I would retail that set with the rack for about $1000. Alex, you should have called me dude... I could have saved you a Dark Horse ...of course shipping to QC would have cost a Hyundai.

No pics yet, but I picked up a cheap only bar from Goodwill for $20 yesterday. It will be sacrificed to create a rackable curl bar once I find a suitable curl bar to use as the center section. I'm thinking about using my CAP Super Curl bar as the donor and replacing it with a similar Body Solid bar from Amazon, like this one...

Pair of custom BWTG handles with 1.5 in grips. Can't wait to try these out.

Partly because I want to try something different and partly because Amazon raised the price on the CAP bar. I already have a nice commercial EZ bar I picked up from CSM, and I really only use the CAP bar for LTE's and "dumbbell" rows. So, with the CAP bar soon becoming a rackable curl bar for LTE's, I really just need a replacement with a suitable shape for rows.
I know I could just buy a set of DB handles, but I really like the way the 4' bar feels."What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Well, my local PIAS came thru for me again. I wandered in there this afternoon and found this rusty, crusty, sickly little standard curl bar sitting in the rack, so it came home with me. Not counting wire and gas for my welder, this little project shouldn't cost me any more than $35 bucks or so.
It's actually an interesting little bar. It doesn't have any knurling at all and it's pretty thick. I haven't put a caliper on it yet, but I'd guess it to be in the 28-29mm range, which is perfect to weld to the ends from my donor oly bar.
Edit: It's 27mm and the donor oly bar is 28mmLast edited by Stasher1; 04-12-2013 at 02:03 AM.

I picked this up yesterday from NDMike....well, actually he sent a friend to OSUDiamond's place and I picked it up from there, but Mike got me a supported row machine and I've been looking for one for awhile. I had a regular tbar row a couple of years ago, but I sold it. It was a good unit too, I just sold it because it took up a lot of room for a one trick pony.....so I cried about missing it for a couple of years, and yesterday bought a bigger one!
I like it...its huge and heavy and fits in well with all the other stuff I've upgraded to over the years. I really like the supported feature as I can concentrate on the move and not my back....which is important since my back is a little bitch. I didn't really have a lot of room for it, but I squeezed it in. I basically put all those machines on top of each other, but once you're in them there is no interference, so it works for now. I have a couple of options to rework things, but that would require me moving the power cage or the lat pulldown...neither of those sounds like a lot of fun, tbh....so for now, that little nook of the gym will be crowded.

Nice machine Keetman, the gym I used to go to had that exact machine. Really isolates the lats.

I bought 144 sq. feet of Ivanko rubber interlocking flooring today for 60 dollars. The guy said he spent 2000 dollars a couple of years ago for it. If that is true, I got a crazy good deal. It was only 15 minutes away too!
