I found this place like 5 minutes from me that buys random old stuff from auctions and and found this for $15. I didn't know what to offer the dude because he told me to make him an offer but I felt $15 was good. What you guys think? Sucks I didn't get matches to the collars.
They had an awesome old school row machine but they had already so it. They also had some old deep dish Ivankos and some old York's but just my luck they had been sold already.... I told the guy next time they get anything in to give me a call so I can get first choice. I feel like they get some nice old school stuff through there.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

How are they worth since I don't have the matches? I see the Yorks for sale online for $50 for a pair. So maybe. $20-$25 for one but I can't find anything on BFCO one... Monday I'm going to pick up a pair for Okie grip collars from there. I see they go for like $100-$120 online but I can get them for like $5.

You aren't the only guy with single York or BFCO collars. BFCO is Bell Foundry Company.

Yes, a pair of the York in that style go for $40-50. No way Okies will sell for $100. For one thing they're not that vintage. (80's) Also some of the clamps don't hold properly. You might want to test on a bar, but for $5, who cares. Neat design though. I'd be interested in the single BFCO..

I went in on an auction with a friend of mine and we won I think 8 pair of okies. I helped a few guys on the board get some for around $80 but also sold 2 sets on ebay for over $200 a pair and a third for $150ish so getting $100 is reasonable depending on condition.

"Worth" is a tricky thing.. People have different ideas on worth. A couple years back, people were paying $800 for shipwheel collars & over $300 for longnecks. Now, you'd be lucky to sell longnecks for $200. Prices do fluctuate. I don't think Okies are worth $100, but someone out in eBay land might think they are. Hell, I just bought a pair of standard plates off eBay for $65.00, lol. They are über rare though. LIKE UNICORN RARE.

From what I was told they are no longer in production and the ones I had were in good condition. Out of all my collars they are my favorites. Realistically they are just worth what someone will pay. The two pair I sold for 200 had a starting bid of 90. I was shocked they sold for so much myself.

I have a pair that I bought new and have only been used a couple of times. Maybe I need to see if is someone out in Ebay Land really wants them.

The company no longer makes them but one of the distributors still has some stock (in black) for $99. http://www.crain.ws/okie_bars_weight..._POWER_BAR_TOP
I sold some for a lot less than retail. Maybe I was the fool. Or maybe the Ebay buyer that paid double the retail was the fool. ...or maybe we both were fools.
Edit: It looks like recent eBay auctions closed at $71.00, $51.99, and $75 plus shipping.Last edited by morebarbell; 01-18-2014 at 05:03 PM.

Honestly the York, BFCO, Okie collars are the first old school stuff I have EVER!!! found in my area. Stuff like this never comes up and to just find it laying in some ghetto garage sale place for me is just awesome!!! I know it many seems a little crazy but I am proud of this little find because it is my first find of old vintage stuff.... May just put in on a shelf on display in my garage gym....

Well, I joined the ironmaster club today...Kinda. Picked up the 75 lb set with dumbbell stand still in the box for $150 off Craigslist! Everything looks brand new except i'm missing one of the dumbbell handles. I know ironmaster sells them in pairs with the locking screws for $195+Shipping. I have to wait until they are open tomorrow to contact them about just selling a single handle, unless anybody else knows somewhere I could pick one up?

I just bought some rubber ivanko revolvers, the 255 lb set. I paid more than I wanted to but considering the market where I live and the fact these never are sold in my area I had to buy. The best part is they are almost brand new. I will post a picture later.
They are a bit dusty from no use.Last edited by ubernoob; 01-20-2014 at 12:34 PM.
