According to Rogue's FB they will soon be offering a rack mounted monolift.

It surprises me how many people refuse to buy equipment from Elitefts because its too expensive but they will buy equipment from their competitors, then continue to go on EFS website to educate themselves for FREE

I'm curious about your statement that you wouldn't buy from non power lifters? It is metal fabrication with design ideas stolen from each other so I'm interested on your reasoning why you wouldn't purchase from some of these reputable companies. I have not seen Rogue's prototype yet, but If I had to guess it will probably look a lot like Rick's design from Edge Fitness or a modified version.

If its just like ricks then thats a different story. I took it as a bolt on complete monolift (that has a jack or jacks). The way I look at it, a monolift is a specialized powerlifting accessory so why buy it from non powerlifters or people who have never lifted in a mono before (again just my opinion).
If I was in the marker for rings or something crossfit specific I wouldnt buy it from a powerlifting or strongman site or amazon/ebay. I would go to a crossfit store/site.
Im not too big on these mono attachments. Because they are only good for one lifter or a group of lifters the same height. I really like Texas strength systems mono lift because its an actual adjustable monolift. It surprises me how many people refuse to buy equipment from Elitefts because its too expensive but they will buy equipment from their competitors, then continue to go on EFS website to educate themselves for FREE

LOL. That looks strangely familiar.
Not a bad idea eliminating the angle iron though. It will just need to be bolted in two locations. Other than that looks like a good rip off.
Its too close to the rack if you ask me. Could just be the angle of the pic. I find even with mine that any significant forward tilt can cause you to hit the hook on the way up.Last edited by GarageIron; 02-18-2013 at 10:46 AM.

That looks way better than I thought it would. I wonder what gauge they used? And what price range this would be?
And will they only fit the monster rack (3x3) or will it fit the normal 2x3?
To address GI I think the jcup will slide right into the angled piece of iron. So it shouldnt be a problem.
My only complaints are the welds(above the blue bumper plate). Why not weld all the way down.
And the cup part(that holds the bar from coming out of the rack) looks to deep. It should be just deep enough that the bar wont come out. But not so deep where you have to really lift the bar out of the hook.
And how adjustable will it be (imo 1inch increments are a necessity)Last edited by 817boy; 02-18-2013 at 12:10 PM.

That might make for a difficult situation when you need to rack the bar... but I think I know what you mean. That's not what I meant.
The hooks will fall into the rack. When I have a loaded bar on my mono the bar sits about 7.5" off the uprights, when I un rack the hooks fall into the upright, leaving the hook sticking out to about 4.5" (thats how long they are). That leaves about 3" of working space forward. I've hit them a few times on heavy lifts.
That unit looks shorter (closer to the uprights) than the one I use. If the hooks are the same depth (they look identical) you will have less forward space before you hit the bar on the hooks when coming up. It could just be the angle of the photo but its looks too shallow to me.
EDIT: I asked them, we'll see.Last edited by GarageIron; 02-18-2013 at 01:17 PM.

Ahhh I understand. Yeah I bet it would be a problem with heavy weights or box squating. I never used a mono to box squat but I tend to lean forward when I stand up when box squatting

so why do these econo monolifts need to be bolted? i'd think a beefier j-cup approach would be fine and would allow for easier adjusting.

I think they should put the second pin or bolt location 12" below the first to allow use on racks with 2,3,4" hole spacing. I suggested it on their FB page but usually they just reply to my suggestions with a friendly "Thanks, but F@%K off"

The whole point of a monolift is to get the bar right where you want it on your back for squats. With your idea you would have to make sure you knew exactly where uou want the bar or else the monolift attachment qouldnt be where you wanted it and would defeat the point.

Today's mega score..
York Oly bar (97% sure it's stainless) with less than .5mm deviation
York 265lb milled set (45's and 25's)
York Speed Collars
York matching 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 bun DB's.
Ivanko and other US and Tawainese made standard pancake plates.
Ivanko O-Series 1.25lb'ers
Okie Speed Collars.
Did I get it all??? I think so.
According to my detective work and info from the seller I believe that all of these were purchased new in the early to mid 80's.. and there aint a damm spot of rust on any of it.[̲̅$̲̅(̲̅ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°̲̅)̲̅$̲̅] Equipment Crew #57 [̲̅$̲̅(̲̅ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°̲̅)̲̅$̲̅]

maybe i don't quite get how the econo monolift attaches to a rack. it looked like the hooks are fixed length and the only method to adjust the height is by changing which existing upright holes you stick your bolts through. what i was suggesting was to just create a fixed pin (instead of a bolt) and then a welded side (like a j-cup) so it can't pop out of place. regardless of whether you use a bolt or a fixed pin, you seem to be at the mercy of your racks hole spacing for the econo.

yes w/ the edge fitness system and Rogue (doesnt look ajustable) you are stuck w/ having to move the attachment to get it where you want it.
There is a company (Crepinsek Strength) and they make the mono attachmetn w/ multiple holes (1/2 inch increments) so you can get it EXACTLY where you want it, but you still have to bolt it. However its a lil expensive ($500)
kind of a crappy pic
