I just bought Two chainZ!!!! Each is 13' long, 1" diameter, width of a link is about the size of my wrist. These hoes are heavy and slightly rusted, only paid $65.
Will soaking these botches in a kiddy pool full of CLR take care of the rust? Considering dragging them down the road behind our Durango, but that's last resort.
Plan on painting them gold so I'll look like mr T. When doing dips with them hanging from my neck haha!

A couple pics for you, for some reason I had a hard time making this paint look uniform. It could have been the operator, who knows.

Embedded for you
It surprises me how many people refuse to buy equipment from Elitefts because its too expensive but they will buy equipment from their competitors, then continue to go on EFS website to educate themselves for FREE

You are picking up some beautiful antique iron spinlock. I had no idea that plate loaded kettlebells existed back then.

Thanks Protein. Yeah the Triplex first deputed in 1908. Alan Calvert the founder of the company (1902) was quite the innovator. The Triplex is unique because half the globe is a hollow shot loadable section and the other hemisphere holds the plates. This allowed the user to make large weight changes with the plates and small incremental changes with shot. It very literally shows the transition from 19th century shot loaded globes to the plate loaded stuff of the 20th century.

Each Kettle Bell weighs 25lb empty and 50lb with weights. Then on top of that you can add up to 30lb of shot. So the max kettle bell weight would be 80lbs.
I believe when in dumbbell form it weighs about 50lb empty and 100lbs with the weights. Adding 30lb of shot to each side would make it weigh a max of 160lbs. When it's in barbell form I think you add 5lbs to those dumbbell numbers to make up for the extra weight of the longer bar. The bar is 5ft from end to end.()---() York Barbell Club #22 ()---()

Not a major purchase, but something that might be of use to folks looking for fractional plates...
They're 16 oz bat weights (donuts) that I picked up from my local PIAS for $3 each. They're available from 4 oz (.25 lb) to at least 28oz (1.75 lb) in 4 oz increments, and you can find them just about everywhere they play baseball.
They're also better looking than square pieces of scrap steel with a hole in the middle. Just sayin'..."What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

No idea. I had read about it somewhere and happened to be in PIAS this morning looking for a pair of those cheap chrome clamps to build some chain hangers to use for micro-loading when I saw these hanging on a hook. I grabbed them and walked over to the bars to see if they'd fit, and they did."What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
