08-10-2012, 08:19 PM #68What do I fear?
I fear stagnation and lack of progress.
I fear never reaching my potential and being average.
I fear being forgotten..The past..Yesterday's news.
I fear giving up and being passed by, going softly into that good night.
I fear settling, giving in to the "that's just the way it is" mindset.
I fear not feeling these fears anymore and just floating along.
These fears feed me, they nourish my drive.
I love my fear

Did you even read what i just said? None of us are clinging to Weather as an excuse. However the weather is the main factor as to why we do not give two fuks about the summer olympics. We grow up playing and watching hockey and we all hope to hockey stars, nobody wants to be a fukig swimming fairy in canada. We aren't exposed to girly sports like swimming as much as we are to full contact sports such as hockey and lacrosse. The canadian persona is that we endure and persevere no matter what is thrown at us. I find it hilarious that you americans classify yourselves as better then the rest of the world because of the actions of a select few. I dont even know why im arguing with you i know i wont get through. Its nearly impossible when you've had a narcissistic patriotism drilled into your head since birth even when your own actions hardly constitute that persona. Feel free to use others actions as a means of glorifying your own pitiful existence, the rest of the world is laughing at you.
Canada out

We don't have super bred children and mega million dollars for training. A lot of the athletes competing have day jobs and are financed out of their own pocket. Canada is quite small population wise and honestly the fact that there are people competing the Summer Olympics blows my mind considering how poor the weather is 90% of the time (notsrs)
Canada does well in their own little way. Bronze in Judo here, Bronze in Marathon Swimming there, quite huge feats for regular joes.http://tiny.cc/GoldenEra

what you keep ignoring, like the rest of your mentally handicapped countrymen, is that MOST OF THESE SPORTS ARE TRAINED INDOORS. YOU CAN LITERALLY TRAIN THEM EVERY SINGLE DAY OF THE YEAR, EVEN IF YOU LIVE IN SIBERIA.
Can one of your fellow retards translate this into Canadian so you can understand, or are you simply so weak you have to ignore it?
