Today I decided to not be a pansy and did a workout! Power/muscle/burn style! I loved it- it was fun as hell! I love how this routine is set up and I want to go back to it. The only thing I didn’t like about it was the 1 day a week for legs, so I’m just going to add in an extra leg day!
I’d really like to take my lifting up a notch and do 5 days a week, so I’m going to give it a shot and see how I like it! Last week I only got 4 days in, so I’m going to try my hardest to do 5 workouts this week!
Chest and Biceps!
(Super) Incline Bench Press: 3x3-5 (biggest incline it can go on- much harder!)
45x12
75x4
95x4
95x3
85x5
D.B Curls: 3x3-5 (avoiding B.B for a while- trying to balance out both my biceps!)
10’sx13
35’sx7 each (PR! +2 reps!)
35’sx6 each (PR! +2 reps!)
35’sx5 each (PR! +5 reps!)
A1- Flat D.B Bench Press: 3x8-12 (No spotter today!)
40’sx17 (PR!)
40’sx11
40’sx9
A2- Hammer Curls: 3x8-12 reps
30’sx11 each
30’sx8 each
30’sx8 each
B1-Chest Dips: 3x8-12 reps
BWx12
BWx9
BWx8
B2- Cross Body Curls: 3x8-12 reps
30`sx5 dropped to 25`sx5
25`sx14 each
25`sx12 each
Push-Ups: 2x40 reps
BWx17 on kneesx23
BWx17 on kneesx23
Alternating D.B curls: 2x40
20’sx40
Cable Curls:
1 ½ x40
Cardio: 20 minutes on treadmill!
Very Fun! Will stick with this from now on! Tomorrow is a rest day, then there’ll be 3 workouts in a row so I can spread my leg days out better!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

I'M SO EXCITED! Thanks to the lovely Tina who posted a link in her journal for samples of bodyform pre-workout, I posted in it and got chosen to recieve some free samples and write a review! WHOOO HOOO! I'm very excited. I ran out of pre-workout supplements a loooong time ago and have been fueling all my workouts on coffee, which is fine, but it's been incredibly hot here lately and I'm just dragging. All the coffee in the world isn't saving me! lol! Now, I was thinking very briefly of dieting down a wee bit more on a very mild deficit while taking it, but I think I'm just going to continue maintenance eating and use that stuff to give me a little boost so I'll be hitting a ton of PR's! Love the motivation reviewing supps gives you! But, best of all? There's pineapple. That's my favourite flavour in the whole entire world.

Coffee is how I survive my side job in hot weather. But a cold pre workout sounds infinitely better.

Well, I always drink a hot coffee in the morning with my peanut butter and honey toast (which I am totally addicted to, by the way) but in the afternoons I make a really nice iced coffee! But it's just not enough to give me that extra push to kill it in the gym. It's just too damn hot here It's killing meeee.......!

Calories Eaten Yesterday: 2024 calories
Calories Burned: 2375 calories
Weight this morning: 122.8 lbs
Hmmm, it seems my weight is ever so slowly increasing! I did a much better job at maintaining when I wasn't counting cals! lol! Do I care? No. Not one bit. Not even a little bit! I still think it's the creatine. I don't look any fatter, my muscles just look more filled out I was downstairs yesterday admiring some pec striations going on there! lol! I like creatine very much!
Oh my goodness am I ever sore. I'm thinking my bench stalled out really bad because my back stalled out super bad. I need to find 1 back exercise, stick with it for power, and work on increasing it. I'm thinking about focusing on chin-ups/weighted chins for my main power move on back day. At least until I can do a w.g pull-up. I've been practicing those! I will get them yet But I'm really liking all this laid back eating and lifting! lol! I'm having a blast here. Love the extra recovery/energy/happy that comes with more food!
Today is a glorious rest day! I'm going to be rolling around on my tennis balls a lot I was doing w.g pull-ups yesterday (negatives, half reps, jumping reps, etc) and a few days before that and I've had never ending lat doms ever since. Tomorrow is back/abs/calves day, then it's tricep/shoulders day, and then I have another leg day. Then rest. And that'll conclude this week!
But Stephen is apparently in the mood to be outside today, so we'll probably go hiking or something! I'll take some piccies!Last edited by gobbles23; 08-09-2012 at 07:08 AM.
