Hey there! I think it might have been a combination of tom and higher carbs...I lowered my cals and cabs during the weeks like I normally do since I am pretty immobile while I'm at work so that's probably why it fell off, lol! I couldn't stand it. Hovering around 125-126.
I did get a new BC a few days ago. I was taking the lowest of doses (Tri-Cyclen Lo) and now I'm taking one step up from that which is Tri-Cyclen. So we'll see how that goes.
We didn't hike after! we couldn't find the trail which is a god thing because I was feeling wiped anyway...Now I know why I felt like that yesterday....
************************************************** ****
Home sick today. I swear. I can't wait to see what my bloodwork shows up. Auto-immune disorder is sounding more and more likely. I know I'm not supposed to self-diagnose, but I was just reading an article on auto-immune disorders and a thing called auto-immune fatigue which makes you feel run down every so often and talks about scheduling those times around resting more and the times where you feel good around activity. Sounds a little too much to me like what I've become accustomed to doing :/
So....Deload week this week and resting. Body feels achy and tired and heavy. I love being sick all the time, it's so much fun. what was it, 6 weeks ago since I had the flu? Sure everyone at work was sick but still. You guys should see what I eat lately. Nothing but a huge variety of fruits, plus all kins of veggies. As well as salmon/fish oils/vitamins/teas/probiotics/probiotic greek yogurt, chia and flax superfood, etc. And I've even been watching my sleep and that's good too. Ugh I quit. I've never taken such good care of myself before in my life.

Poor Turkey, sorry to hear that your not feeling well again. Hopefully the blood work and doc visit start helping you figure what is going on.

Sorry to hear that you're feeling so unwell again You can't seem to catch a break... Could be a lot of things but you do eat quite well... maybe not enough food... but here I am eating 3000+ cals a day and steadily gaining chub lol

Thanks DM feeling more alive today but still pretty freaking exhausted :/ Literally just fused into the furniture yesterday.
Thanks! I'm coming along. Hopefully with a few days rest I'll be back in action. I know I'm eating enough because I'm inadvertently gaining My body just sucks , that's all. lol! It's a real incentive not to gain because dieting with my ****ty immune system just makes everything worse. That's why I can't follow a steady deficit...I get too run down/sickly. My body needs as many nutrients as it can get.
Hopefully once my blood work comes back it'll show something that will make it all make sense...Nothing worse than hoping something actually shows up so I don't feel like I'm going crazy. Something just doesn't seem right and I wish I knew what it was.
I don't think so...all alcohol hurts because it's so acidic...It's just burns a hole right through my stomach.Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

I just learned that the woman I work closely alongside here at work was also out sick yesterday and she's waaaayyyyy sicker than I am today. So that's probably why I'm feeling so crap. At least I'm not THAT bad. I need to buy some hand sanitizer.

Hey guys!!! I feel much more alive today Yey, maybe there's hope for me yet, lol! I may try for a little workout soon with higher reps, but tonight I have to color my hair. It needs to be touched up so badly! I'm going to use the Joico K-Pak Demi color like I used in the past, and I bought an ammonia free blond to touch up the highlights The blond is still shining through from a year ago and it looks like there's no depth to my hair, it's horrible. And I need to do my weekly cost-co trip again soon too to pick up a few things. Except I'm broke. lol! I'm good though with my savings account...what goes in there stays in there.
Stephen quit his job at the university! I'm so glad he did because he wasn't himself. He was constantly stressed out and frustrated and complained about his job every minute of every day. It was wearing on me and he wasn't sleeping because he couldn't stop thinking/stressing about it and he was bothered every weekend. It was just ruining him. The didn't manage they're office well at all and everything was piling up on him. So right now we're in a bit of a tight spot what with rent payment and groceries and car payment and insurance payment and my braces payment...I can man the ship but that means I can't buy fun things for a while and be tight with groceries...but I'm hoping it'll all work out and it won't be for long.
He applied for a Service Advisor position today at a dealership that requires a bit of payroll and HR stuff, and he went there and talked to the supervisor so that might work. I'm excited about him getting that one because that means he'll leave for work at 7:00 am, two hours earlier than I need to be at work. So you know what that means? I'd turn into the early morning gym goer 5 days a week and I'd look forward to that.
Anyway, I will probably not get much lifting in this week, if any. I'm pretty much due for a rest week anyway so it'll give me chance to focus on other things....Like cleaning all the summer clothes out of my drawers and stuff. My arms and legs feel tired/like lead and I'm thinking it might just be time for a recharge.
lol! Every time I get a moment to breath I come edit my post. haha! Month end = lots of billings to be done = busy work days! I will try to catch up with you all during the day since I haven't had much time this week. Anyway, Happy Wednesday!Last edited by gobbles23; 10-01-2014 at 06:11 AM.

Thanks DM
Hahaa! Yup, I was in that situation before and it's brutal! When it starts impacting the quality of your life it's definitely time to get out.
Oooh yeah. Every day I take vit c (500g x ~4 spread out through the day) zinc lozenges + C and D, vitamin D (about ~2000 IU ) a crazy multi (either Active Xtreme or an Animal pak) and 4 fish oils, and a super crazy expensive probiotic. I have a vitamin case I carry around with me in my backpack. Every morning all you can hear throughout the office is "rattle rattle rattle" for about 5 minutes, lol!!!
But immunity starts in your gut, and my gut seems to not be so great :/ Who knows how much of that stuff I'm actually absorbing. I'm hoping the probiotics will make a difference.Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

True that, I have some crazy expensive probiotics too that I REALLY need to start taking again...
I heard a lot of multivitamins are terrible for absorption... not sure how animal pak rates on that scale, but there is some book (I think Uweightloss or a naturopath I was seeing had it) that showed how well each type is absorbed (huge book)... I wonder where I can find it... I'd be interested to see how the ones I'm supposed to be taking stack up. I'm kinda biased towards pressed tablets... I prefer capsules for everythingBluePrint Believer!

Oh, now that's interesting! When I mentioned absorption I was talking more about my issues with my stomach as acid reflux/ulcers create nutritional malnourishment from poor digestion. I never even thought about the pills I'm taking being ineffective in themselves, lol! Double whammy. I'd think capsules would be more effective for sure, now that I think about it! Hmm, now you've got me wondering!

Sooo I pretty much feel like my normal self! I couldn't sleep last night because I had a bit too much energy....I was a bit wired. I dyed my hair and the highlights came out a weird shade and the dark came out black. lol! Luckily I can rock just about any hair colour, but I'm definitely looking forward to the dark lightening up after I wash it a few times...It's not permanent. I think the next time I'll go with a more honey brown with highlights At least it looks and feels healthier and smoother.
I am thinking of working out after work today! I'm having issues though with my left hip/both glutes/left knee/lower back. Everything feels all out of whack. I'm getting a shooting nerve pain starting at my hip and running down my leg and when I press in on the spot that hurts, the glute muscle next to it seizes up and feels cramped. I tried stretching it all out last night and it hurt again to stretch out my lower back and aggravated the leg/hip pain. Lying on that hip last night sent small throbbing/shoots of pain down my leg/around the front/top of my thigh :/ Urg. So I'm wondering should I rest more or give it some light bloodflow? Let it rest and keep stretching and foam rolling to loosen up or work it out. Hmm..
Anyway. I'll probably do some upper and then some lower and then more upper. lol! Rain all weekend so looking forward to a nice string of workouts Happy Thursday!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

Decided to do a full body workout just in case I do fall ill, lol!!!! I did 2 working sets of each exercise. As many reps as I could get. At least then I’ll have worked everything instead of nothing all week. The woman who I assist at work is sick with bronchitis and she's just constantly handing me documents and folders and coughing all over everything. So I’m popping vitamins and going crazy with the hand sanitizer and hoping for the best Haha! Oy.
Full Body Workout!
A1- Glute/Ham Raises: (assisted)
x5
x5
x5
A2- DB Floor Presses:
35’sx10
50’sx6
50’sx5
B1- DB Bent-Over Rows:
35’sx8
50’sx5
50’sx5
B2- DB Shoulder Presses:
35’sx8
35’sx8
C1- DB Wall Ball Squats:
BWx10
50x6
70x5
70x5 (pretty much butt touching the floor, feet together, goblet style…super hard! )
C2- DB Curls:
35’sx8
35’sx7
D1- CG DB Floor Presses:
35’sx9
35’sx8
D2- Swiss Ball rollouts on elbows
x9
x9
Pretty good workout! Everything felt pretty heavy though. Damn those 35’s and 50’s, I will master them. And those stupid g/h raises. Grr!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

Guys remember when I said Stephen quit his job? Well, he got paid like normal for the hours he worked, paid bills, etc. Woke up this morning and checked his account and was in overdraft of -$500 because the bank corrected the payment and gave it back to the university! Is that even legal? I mean, I asked around work since I'm in a legal community and the consensus was it depends. And now the person I was talking to is gone home for the day so I can't inquire about it more now that I know more info. Anyone ever have anything like that happen to them in Canada??

If the University requested it yes, they have the right to recall checks. I would have him call his pay roll department and find out why they took back the check. If they owe him the money they will need to pay it to him regardless since it would violate labor laws (assuming Canada labor laws are similar to the States) It's pretty stupid of them to do it, could have just been a back office mess up too. Hopefully it's gets straightened out soon
If this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.
I like eating, it helps with the not dying.

We think they took it back because they didn't know that he quit without notice since his department and payroll are in completely different places (part of the reason he quit because the place was so unorganized) It takes a while for word to travel and processes to get completed there. His bank statement said "correction" next to the taken amount. I don't know if there's any fighting this one It does violate the law in the sense that his pay was withheld without Stephen's consent, but that might have been between the lines in his contract, it looks uncertain :/

Yesterday was great! We went for a small hike and then climbed around down on the rocks and watched the waves They were huge! It was so captivating Then in the evening we went for a walk up to Old Pond again and had a beer on the rock again while the sun set. It was beautiful. I have lots of pictures to post but they're on Stephen's computer and it's being stupid so I'll post them later. I still feel like my body is fighting something so I've been taking it pretty easy. My step-mother is feeling it too so it's going around. Today will be more light adventuring and I'm hoping to be able to get in a small, light-ish back and shoulders workout this morning before lunch time. Depends on what time Stephen gets back from his parents house and how impatient he is to get going If not early today then later today. I also have chores to do and mom to visit so we'll see how it all plays out. Next weekend is Thanksgiving and I'm so excited to feast on Turkey and Pie Yes, those two things require capital letters, hahaha! And a long weekend as well! Yey! happy Sunday! Be back later with pics and workout!

Stupid picture uploading site is being dumb. Here are what I managed to get to upload:
today we went for a walk in the woods and I sprinted up some stairs and climbed a few big hills that burned my legs so bad. It was nice...Beautiful day outside I don't feel 100%, throat feels dry and scratchy here and there. I do not want to give it! It's really going around, my brother and his family have it too. I'm desperately trying not to let it take over! I wanted to lift tonight but I don't want to push it too far. I'm going to wait and see how I feel after supper. Tomorrow I have to go to Cost-co, so Tuesday will be legs and then Wed & Thurs I'll do two more workouts. Yes.Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

A HOY HOY! I feel good today Today shall be leg crushing day! I'm also debating a new weekly workout schedule...I'm thinking I could move all the weights downstairs, get up at 5:00 am, eat a small breakky (slice of toast + pb + half a banana? Or slice of toast + 1 whole egg) and drink a coffee, then workout from 5:30-6:20, then go about my morning as normal since that's what time I wake up every day on a normal day. Then I would have the evenings free and could do something else...Like go for a walk or go sit on a rock and chill or Something. I'm feeling so building bound. In a building all day, run to the grocery store at lunch, back to the building, back to the house, in the bedroom all night. It's not doing it for me. I want to get out for more walks!
And I hate having to skip workouts due to weekday errands after work. And I never get them in during the weekend because I'm too tired after having such active days!! And I'm always tired when I get home from work too. So this way I could workout from Mon-Fri. Weekend off. Or even 4 days a week with the weekend off. I'd like to try the more frequent less volume approach. Or maybe I'll do a four day upper lower. I'd love to start a program but my issue is that my days are so random I can never plan for anything. But I could if I lifted in the mornings....I'm so silly. There's a room with a treadmill downstairs. It'd be nothing for me to build up a little gym. Even get an ez curl bar or a barbell with some plates. Hmm....!
And on another note, I don't know what's going on but my legs feel damn good. Like, super tight and hard. They look awesome! lol!
I have to go work now. And plan. I need to go to cost-co after work today as well. Happy Monday!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

Sprinting is the best leg muscle builder/worker That's probably why!
I used to work out in the mornings and it really does help free up your evenings! I say you give it a shot and build that little gym in the basement! You can get short (5ft) barbells and other things that dont take up too much space that could get you by real niceBluePrint Believer!

It is! If I had my evenings free I could do that more!
There's not much space down there but I'm thinking it won't be too bad! I'm going to take a shot over to Spartan Fitness after work some day this week and check out what they have... I'm horrible for waking up in the mornings but I'd love to try it out! 5ft bars would be awesome...even a little ez curl bar and a few plates. I'd love to have two 25's......Hmm....! I'm really cheap when it comes to spending money but it's a good investment!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

I justified dropping $550 on a power rack because that's approximately what a gym membership costs for a year... if you'll use it, it's definitely worth it. I wouldn't bother with a treadmill... you can run outside (for another few weeks, I guess haha). Upright bikes take less space. You could put in a ceiling anchor and have Olympic Rings or a TRX-style suspension system put in... I can try and send you a few links of little space saving items I've found that are pretty awesome ("Gun Rack" style 6-barbell wallmounted holder being the best if you have a lot of bars).

Oh, I agree 100%. My issue right now is our living situation.....In about 2 months we'll probably be living in the house with the big commercial home gym. So whatever I buy now I won't have anywhere to store when I move. That some gym has two benches and two oly bars and two 300lb weight sets in it plus all the db's and a million other things.
So I'm trying to figure out what I can get that I can bring there with me without going over board. If I knew I was staying in the house I'm in now for the next few years I'd already own a multi-gym machine, and an oly set + bench. But since there's not much point in investing in it at the moment so I'm just trying to add a few more options to my inventory in terms of poundage's Like a small bar and a few plates.
I can't spend much money either at the moment because Stephen's unemployed and christmas is coming up and we're saving for a house, lol!!!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers
