MIND=BLOWN!!! Those floor wipers look evil!! Fantastic workout Lori!!
108, yes you sure do need some AC!! That is really hot. I was thinking it was really humid here today, but the heat wasn't too bad.

Hey Ms. Lori!
Lots of lifey stuff goin on in here. I think staying and getting more stuff in order is a great idea I'm glad that stuff is going in the positive direction for the job.
You are looking great Lori, I think you are looking the your best yet. Yay for building in the fall!
It's about 109 here and there is humidity along with it. I can't believe you don't have ac in the states landlords have to to provide and maintain that on their properties. If this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.
I like eating, it helps with the not dying.

Oh! Those floor wipers are what the guy I see at the gym on Saturdays occasionally is doing on the floor of the rack whilst he's hogging it with his SuperGiantMega sets. Now I know!

They're pretty fun! I should be doing them more often
Thanks!! It was a pretty fun workout!! Except for the heat. I don't know what I'm going to do! I think today I'm going to fill up a tub of cold water and keep wiping myself down with it or something...Leg day
Thank you! Something about the other one didn't appeal to me
They're tough!!! Thanks
Thanks Erica! I'm still kind of confused about it all, but I'm sure it'll all work itself out...
[QUOTE=Erica;1103351093]You are looking great Lori, I think you are looking the your best yet. Yay for building in the fall![?QUOTE]
REALLY!? THANKS!!!!! That was my goal, just to look better than last year I feel like I look better though, I'm way happier with my arms and legs and butt and hammies and I'm feeling really good here now. I'm pretty even all over and I have some definition and all my curves! I can't believe my bras are all still fitting me perfectly! Another ~2lbs and I think I'll be sufficiently content!!!!! Woop woop!!!
I know, it's awful. And we only have one working window (not that any air gets in...lol!) but it's pretty bad. I don't know how everyone up here can love the heat so much! We don't have that law. I wish we did though.
Nice hearing from you!!!!! Hope things are well, I was thinking about you yesterday...Last edited by gobbles23; 07-16-2013 at 05:11 AM.

Mkay, it's Tuesday. Only Tuesday? Meh. We were talking to Andrew about everything last night. My biggest concern about it all is that Andrew doesn't know if he's staying here or moving back home and we need the basement for the weights and drums. But Stephen's theory is "It might happen, but it probably won't." Hahaha! Guys and their logic. So that's what we're going off of. We get the upstairs apartment, and worry about the rest later.
He said he'd text the landlord last night and tell him we're serious about getting it. From there we'll talk with him when he comes by to get the rent at the end of the month. We'll see what his terms are. Then if that all sounds good, we'll go ahead and buy a bench anyway, most likely while Andrew's back in NL so he can't complain about it Hahaha! We'll tidy the place up and fit it in there.
The apartment might not be ready until September or October. So that'll give us time to save up for a bed and a television/couch/table/other random household things. Yuppers. So that's our life update! It is hard...Stephen broke it to his mom last night that we were staying and sent her into a state of mild depression I didn't tell mine yet, I'm afraid. lol! And there's so much happening back home socially. I'm quite bothered. I want to accomplish some stuff though. I do. I will. We'll be better off this way!
Annnnddddd....I wrote out Lyle's generic bulking routine. I'm thinking of starting it when we get a bench. Andrew leaves next Monday, and then 10 days after that the rent is due and we'll be after talking to the landlord, so in the beginning of August I might go buy one. And it'll be maintenance eating + new routine with a bench time. I need it! Then bench I mean
Today is leg day. My hip still feels funky so I'll just test the waters, keep the weight more moderate, and see what I can do Happy Tuesday!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

So THAT's what floor wipers are?!? Yuuuuucckkk
Yeah, this heat is killer. Though I have to admit that I love it! I was basking in the backyard all weekend soaking in the heat, lol. Mind you, we have A/C at home so I can retreat to the dark/cool house when I need to. But on days like we've been having this week sometimes even the A/C doesn't seem to be enough. My gym has A/C but yesterday I was still dying of heat and humidity in there! I'm like you in that I feel lethargic and can't work out well when it's too hot, I turn into gumby!
I'd be interested to see how you put together Lyle's GBR and what lifts you choose/sub in. I'm only in the week two sum max run up and I'm re-thinking some of my selections but he says only to change it during the run up period so it's now or not til net sub max period in another 4-6 weeks (I think I'll do the full 6 weeks after the two week break -in).

Fun!!!
hahahaha! Gumby
I'm not sure if you saw this:
http://forums.lylemcdonald.com/showthread.php?t=1705
But I was thinking of incorporating those lower reps for the main movements. Maybe not 5x5, but probably 3-4x5, and probably remove some of the other sets if it feels like too much volume. I'm pretty limited now with the amount of equipment I have where I work out at home, but I am hoping I'll have a bench when I start it so I can do leg extensions and leg curls and bench press I'm going to make the two upper/lower workouts different, too instead of keeping them the same.I always do the same rotation of exercises that I plan on doing. I can post what I wrote up it if you want to see it
Yay! Thanks Boomer! More news, coming up!
Yay! Food and weights!
At least tomorrows Wednesday!
I bet!! That is awesome!

Well, since we don't know if andrew is going to stay or leave this year and we don't want to end up spending 2 grand on a down payment now and then another 2 grand on the down payment to his place when he moves, OR risk giving Joe the money for the house and never see it finished,we decided to set out and look for a different basement apartment!
And we have a viewing for one on Sunday! It's a nice little place, with a washer and dryer. Only 5 minutes down the road from where we are now! 2 bedrooms, in a basement....Reasonably priced too! Hope it's alright!!!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

hahaha! Thanks, Me too
It is exciting!!!! Only problem is...I'm too excitable of a person and now I'm whizzing around the office like a madwoman grinning from ear to ear lol!
Thanks! We're only renting for now. We'll wait until we go home to worry about mortgages, but this apartment costs 950 dollars a month for rent. And it has a laundry unit! It's right here...Try to imagine better furniture in the living area Think, leather coach + black t.v stand with a nice 32 inch flat screen t.v:
http://www.gottarent.com/apartment/v...8/Sel/pictures
I think with a little love it can look really nice! besides the fact thtat it's already 100000x better than where we are now. There's a patio and a nice kitchen space and it's bright and it has two bedrooms so one can be the gym room! And the bathroom's big. I like the 2nd one. The outside looks really nice.
I'd go for the cheaper one, only cus then i'd save the 250 that you would've spent on the other one and put that towards somewhere when you go back home.

Yeah, that one would be awesome, it's just that sometimes they only want 1 tenant, not 2 and they didn't reply to me yet so it's still up in the air I'd prefer cheaper too and it's next to the True North Barbell gym! Which looks pretty sweet. Good location, too. Not too far from the first one! But this one doesn't have a washer and dryer. I think they cost more when that's included.

Oy! Walking back and forth the office ALL day today. Exhausted! Plus learning stuff/apartment searching/too much thinking/working...Sitting, drinking a diet coke, trying to gather my energy for the 400 degree walk to the bus in an hour + leg workout in 2 hours! Got a banana and half a G2 waiting at home for me...Tired.
Debating what to do for leg day! Not wanting to squat too heavy with my hip kind of hurting still, but not wanting to do much volume due to the excessive heat....Hmm, maybe ~6-7 reps....Maybe w/175-180.Last edited by gobbles23; 07-16-2013 at 01:31 PM.

I like the second one you posted too. That's a decent price, have paid around that out here for a similar sized apt, seems great right by that gym you speak of too! The more expensive one seems wayyy too much IMO, you could get a mortgage on a moderate sized house for that much money. Good luck brah-ette!

I don't know, I think it's worth it to me to have a laundry unit!! You can't get an apartment up here with laundry included that's a 2 bedroom for less than 900. I'm going to keep looking though and hopefully I'll be able to find something cheaper with laundry The gym is a bonus though. We'll have to see Thanks!!
I hurt it deadlifting...I did it before, it's like I pulled it from the floor and it wouldn't budge and then something in my hips hurt. Felt like I nearly popped it out of it's socket from trying so hard. I think they're my weak spot!! I can't wait to get back to building. May be sooner than later!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers
