So I’m a little irritated that my google fiber internet went out right before the holiday weekend so they won’t have a tech out till Sunday.
Girl on the phone didn’t understand what their own equipment does. I told her the fiber box has a blinking red light and she is like is that the white one (it is) or the black one (their network box). Then she talks about powercycling it and I told her I already did for 20 seconds and she was like “that’s not nearly enough time” I’m like lol ok, have it unplugged for 3 mins and big surprise it makes no difference.
Then she starts asking about my router and even though it’s pointless since obviously if the fiber is down then the router ain’t doing chit.
Then I ask if the store is open on Friday or Saturday so I can try swapping the fiber box and she is like “oh you can’t do that because it’s mounted” and I just say it literally takes 10 seconds to unmount and unplug the cables.
Woman seriously didn’t know anything about networking..

All ".......technicians......" at that level read from a script but are also delusional enough to believe that they well versed on the subject of networking.
They don't understand that their script boils down to 2 actual steps.
1. Do the stuff anyone with 5 seconds of experience with computers has already done. (literally insert 'the IT crowd' joke here).
2. Waste your time until you hang up in frustration.Eat in a deficit to lose weight.
Hit your protein and fat minimums to stay healthy and keep your gainz.
Lift heavy and do HIIT to look and feel awesome.
Use the internet to learn why you should do these things and how to do these things.
