Smile Single digit body fat %

I am going to start a cut at around 18% body fat, however I am wondering how far I should go in terms of bf%, last time I cut I managed to reach around 10-12% bf, however I had a lot of trouble reaching single digit bf%, as a result I lost a lot of strength and felt as though I lost a bit of lean body tissue, I followed all the fat loss protocols in terms of calorie deficit so that it was an appropriate deficit but still couldn't get over my weight loss plateau. So my question is will be likelier to reach a single digit bf% this time round because of my increase in lean body mass in comparison with when I started my last cut and if it isn't should I stop once I feel that I'm losing too much lean body tissue and go on another bulk and increase my lean body mass in hopes that next time I cut it will be easier or should I carry on cutting and sacrifice lean body tissue and hope to regain all the lost muscle on my next bulk because of 'muscle memory'?

Oh and btw my goal is to reach around 3-6% body fat however I want to sacrifice very little or no lean body tissue for it.

    Thank you for your time

Just so you know... 3-6% BF range is like what Sly Stallone did for Rambo 2 and 3. I think he was that or a tad over for First blood. That is extremely hard to get to, takes very serious work and can potentially be harmful to your health if your not careful about it. Good luck with those kinds of goals OP.

Lol sorry I meant 4-6% (typo), I realise it's a bit ambitious, but I want to be at least around the 6-8% region

You want to reach that for a contest or you plan on living at the percent?

Your going to lose some muscle, it all depends how far your willing to tolerate it to get your desired %.

I would say cut to 6%, doesn't matter how skinny you feel just reach your goal. Then slow bulk

living, I would ideally like to maintain it for around next summer and then try and bulk slowly after that

Would I be able to regain a significant amount of it back because of muscle memory if I go back on a bulk (if there such thing)

To be honest I'm not sure, I have very poor muscle memory myself so I feel. But if your going to keep that mentality of not wanting to go 100% then I wouldn't even bother. You shouldn't let anything stand in the way of your goal

Also what's the point of the middle ground:

    1) look ok with and without shirt
    2) look big with shirt but bad without it
    3) look skinny with shirt but shredded without it

No point in being avg with #1

    4) Buy smaller shirts so that you can look shredded with and without shirts.

That's still super low mate, good luck. I suggest spending some time in Josef Rakich's thread and his ******** page. He has good advise for those who want to get uber shredded.
