If i get drunk once every 2-3 months on spirits, will it greatly effect my gains if I drink BCAA's and have a protein shake before bed?

Not sure if srs..... It shouldn't really affect yer gains, I gulp me some fine cup of vodka with me creatine in the morning... And get me some fine ol' night of grog and pint every Sunday night. I also drink red wine 3 times a week.

In all honesty, I used to drink every Saturday night when I was 17 (around the time by profile picture was taken) and it didn't effect my progress. I used to drink larger all night until around 2am, then have takeaway before bed, I still got plenty of sleep and my calories were in check - my gains were better then than now (And no, I don't think it was from alcohol haha), so I can honestly say it didn't effect me much at all, and I got a lot of pussy from it. srs.

Lol, no such thing as slowering of protein synthesis (if that happened you would be dead). that occured in some studies because some *******s recorded lower levels of testosterone and growth hormone, but that actually happened because alcohol affects your sleep.
np brah but i wouldn't drink if i were you. your liver isn't a ****ing wizard, it does enough work on a day to day basis.. especially if you take creatine. creatine not even once.

First off, getting drunk THEN drinking a protein shake and bcaa's before bed sounds horrible...plus, it's not like that's going to erase the alcohol's impact on your system just because you did it after a night of hard drinking.
Second, most posts in this thread are a huge joke. True, drinking once every 2-3 months will not greatly affect your progress in the grand scheme of things. Will it have an effect? Absolutely. There is science behind alcohol adversely affecting gains...
Again, it won't have a huge impact as infrequently as you are doing it now, but go post this question in the nutrition thread and you'll get a very different, more informed set of answers.People used to cross the street when I would walk by. They'd be like, "Whoa, look at that monster coming towards us! Literally barreling towards us!" I was as big as a skyscraper...now I'm as tiny as a postage stamp. I'm just trying to become that monster again.
