the more i thought about it the more i realized my off the ground part of the deadlift increase dramatically when i started putting heavy front squats in the mix. then when i later added deficit deadlifts it really got fast. now even my max attempts are fast as hell off the ground but tend to suffer when i get past the knees
i also think low bar back squats would have more carry over to sumo simply because you use a wider stance for the low bar squat and both them and sumo deads are hamstring intensive. You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.

Who is rb?
Front squats would carry over to sumo because sumo uses more quads than a conventional dead. Back squats still would carry over more. And deadlift variations would still carry over even more! See how that works?Planted like a tree beside the river of truth.

who cares. he was too self-righteous.
i think youre right for the wrong reasons. when i did conv my quads would be sore sometimes. sumo has a more ham focus
seems right. but i dont lbs
you need to do rack pulls, and maybe try some deads to knees.

Sumo is more glutes and hams, my good chaps. Sumo also doesn't work your lumbar as hard as conventional does.

A rack pull is a real dead and is more functional. Come at me, hoes.

i am trying to determine how those 2 vids would prove it one way or the other. yes there is some quad inolvement in either deadlift type but everyone i know that pulls sumo deadlift the correct way says it is a hamstring focused lift.
i honestly dont care since i dont know anyone that deadlifts for big quads. oh and pretty bad example getting the guy with monster quads pulling sumo . his quads looked fully flexed as he was getting READY to pull lolYou would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.
