Hey so far since I have started my cut from 220 lbs in May, ( I weight 194) Ive been weighing myself. Ive been doing lot of cardio and started lifting weights recently. I was trying to be on a 2000 calorie diet and I didnt pay attention to macros but I have started too now. If I am in a 500 calorie deficit, should I weigh myself daily or weekly? I noticed that sometimes my weight is weird. Yesterday I weighed 191 but this morning I weighed 194. Even if you gain a couple of lbs day by day, do you think you still lose body fat even if the scale doesnt say so?

Its been like over a month since I weighed myself but I usually weigh every day. However, on Sunday mornings, I weigh in and only count that day as my actual weight. Same time, same way etc. (fasted). That way I get the most accurate measurement that I can.
Weight CAN fluctuate between 2-7lbs a day.www.grazethesky.com

This is what I am going to have to do. Started diet and workout Monday and was stepping on the scale every morning and when I don't see the scale go down I get discouraged and I honestly feel it keep me down during work out, and throughout the day. When I don't I feel better. I actually put the scale up so it's not just sitting there waiting to be stepped on.

The scale is a lying bitch!!!! Throw it away! If yur seeing results in the mirror, stick with it. If not, reduce your caloric intake or reevaluate your diet. ( I weigh myself at the end of a set goal ) If I cut hard and drop a few cals for a 14 day period, I weigh at the start and at the end.
Its supposed to hurt, its an ass kickin!

Weighing yourself everyday is a bad habit. Your body will fluctuate gratly with water.
Weigh Urself every Friday morning after you pee. I say Friday morning because people tend to slip off there diets on the weekend. The extra carbs and sodium over the weekend will cause water retention for your weigh in if you were to weigh he self every monday.

Nonsense. Daily fluctuations dont make weighing daily a bad habit. Its one of the easiest ways to track progress. Combine with periodic BF measurements and you know whether you are on the right track, Of course, it isnt for everybody and if the number on the scale affects your mood you should certainly not weigh daily.

When I began my transformation I started out weighing myself everyday for the first 2-3 months... then i switched to bi-weekly, then to weekly. After I lost about 50 pounds, I started a bulk and discovered my gym had an Inbody machine which I now use once a month. I don't really weigh myself at home anymore. Mainly due to body weight not telling me **** about my fat levels and muscle mass etc(it does have that function but its not very accurate). However, you should do whatever floats your boat. I used to love checking my weight everyday and predicting what that days number would be... The only time I really check my weight at home is when ive switched diet and I'm checking to make sure I don't lose or gain too fast. In that case weigh yourself right after waking up and going to the bathroom.. fluctuations are normal.

If you are on a cut, you could just use the lowest number during the week, (you do weigh in at the same time) it isn't like you actually are adding weight. I use what the scale says. I do get fluctuations, more now that my weight is lower. Does bother me a bit when I'm holding water or a big ****, but I know the scale has to head south as I never cheat. How could I gain weight? Maybe a little lifting but not enough to overcome the cut.

I weigh myself every Saturday, first thing in the morning, right after I use the restroom. I think its important to establish a weigh in routine. Weighing yourself everyday is too much. The body can fluctuate so much from day to day...it's too erratic. I know that it can help with diet discipline, but if your weight gets way out of control from week to week..then you really need to re-evaluate what youre doing in the first place.

As someone whose job is based around data and statistics, I think it's better to have more data points to play with the fewer so I weigh myself every day. That way I can work out the mean and variance to get the overall trend.
