How to restore apps/contacts/everything on galaxy s2? (1.1k)

So I got into a bit of a pickle yesterday and had to completely restore factory data settings on my galaxy s2. it wiped everything and reset it to factory settings. problem is I lost all my apps/contacts/old texts and settings. I backed up my phone a couple weeks ago on Kies but is there anyway to restore my phone to the exact way it was yesterday or will I only have up to the last time I backed up my phone?

Sorry brah I don't believe so as a factory wipe is meant to wipe it to like brand new status, restore your old backup then backup once every week, just incase

I don't think there is any phOne that can get back to old status without a backup even rooted you have to recovery backup
This isnt real, your not real.

Apps/contacts/calendar use google to sync them. Whenever you factory reset you'll get them back.

Apps use titanium backup pro after you've rooted your phone.

This probably could've been avoided if you used a custom recovery and make frequent backups

    This!

For apps, all he has to do is download them again from the market. Push the menu button while in the market then select my apps. It'll list all his current apps. If he scrolls to the right, it'll show every single app he has ever downloaded. That is it course if he downloaded them from the market.

As for old texts, there are apps that will back them up to I believe your Gmail account. So if saving texts are important to you, you might look into it. Personally, I've never understood the obsession with saving old texts but to each their own.

OP, you shouldn't have a problem with contacts if they were all backed up on Google. Just sign into your Gmail account when the phone sets up, and it should sync automatically.

For apps, texts, and settings - you're probably out of luck unless you used a backup app like Titanium Backup. I don't have any experience with Kies, but I'm sure it'll only restore your phone to the last time you backed it up.
