I actually dropped out of sixth form halfway through my first year to get the operation done with the plan to re-sit the year in september but it's been delayed twice leaving me with only 3 weeks to recover before I re-sit the year.
I've been told some people who've had the same operationwhere back in work after 4 weeks so I should be fine with 3 weeks recovery before sixth form. I don't believe it myself either thow to be honest but there's not much I can do. 6 months minimum before I can lift againt thow which sucks =/

Thanks brah repped, it's free in the Uk but it's been delayed twice leaving me with only 3 weeks now to re-cover for college.... so I could end up paying for it in the long run. I'm already a year behind in college because I dropped out half way through last year to get my operation done and then it's been delayed until now.

He says he wants to eventually, but he's read all the stories that as soon as people take it out half or all of the chest caves back in within 6 months... To many YouTube vids I think..
And to answer price question.... 180k I think is what my parents said they billed the insurance company ( hotel hospital room etc etc also paid). Cost my parents 20 dollar co-pay to see the dr the first time lolI misc from my iPhone; get over it

Don't quit lifting because of flared ribs man.... they're hardly noticable unless your lieing on your back or something and thanks.
Yeah I've agreed to be part of a project to prove it's not just for cosmetic reasons it effects your health aswell because the goverments trying to cut the funding for the operation.

yo OP i have this as well, been emailing one of the leading surgeons in the world for this (Dr. Schaarschmidt from Helios in Berlin), he's done the surgery over 250 times and this is what he said to me.
"school/deskwork is possible after 2.5-3 weeks, physical work after 4 weeks,
sports and weight lifting should be possible after 6-8 weeks starting with half weights."
Probably less time to lift weights with him cause he doesn't use stabilisers

"So this is how liberty dies.....with thunderous applause."
“A noble man compares and estimates himself by an idea which is higher than himself; and a mean man, by one lower than himself. The one produces aspiration; the other ambition, which is the way in which a vulgar man aspires.”
