So I'm currently bulking but decided to do about 6 minutes of cardio after my lifting sessions for the sake of cardio exercise. I do the Cybex Arc Trainer. I want to make sure I am eating enough to cover the calories I am burning with this cardio.
Just to make sure it at least over estimates, I put in my weight as 135lb (144 acutal), I think level 3/10 incline and 32/100 resistance. I went at about 175-180 strides per minute for about 5 minutes and the last minute I started slowing down. It showed that I burned about 105 calories in 6 minutes. Does this seem accurate or is it an underestimate? I just want to make sure I am not burning like 170 - 180 cals and only eating 100 or so extra to make up for it which could start adding up and messing with my bulk since I do it about 6 days a week.
I figured this being the weight loss section you guys have pretty good ideas about how accurate these machines are.
Thanks!
