Hey guys, new here (do a lot of reading on tons of sites though).
Here's what I'm wondering about..I've been at a 34 waist (around the belly button) for awhile now. The rest of me seems to be becoming more solid, I'm leaning out (I think) but I've got the "tire". I can see my abs pretty decently post workout, and when I first wake up in the morning they're noticeable..not cut, but noticeable. However I maintain this pouch from the belly button down.
Diets not bad (occasional bad MEAL, not terrible, just bad) but I'm under my calorie goal I'd say just about every day..maybe once every two weeks I'll go over by 200 max.
I'm in the gym every day as well. Sometimes twice a day (like today)
Any ideas for me guys?
5'8
174 (got down to 171.8..went up to 175 a week ago..haven't gotten below 173 even post workout sweating since)
I gave a guy my waist/wrist/height/weight measurements and he told me I was 14.5% BF (34/7/5'8/174)

Too many carbs is broscience - it's still about calories in versus calories out.
You're going to have to review your TDEE and deficit and perhaps cut it a bit more. It doesn't really matter what the composition of that extra deficit is.Squat (noun) A means of helping men understand what it feels like to give birth.

I actually discussed raising it with a guy who does personal training at my gym today. I've only been eating 1620 or lower...At 5'8 174, from all the different calculators and what not I get somewhere between 2800-3200..so if I pick in the middle, I was cutting by 1,400 a day..I was thinking about raising up to like 2000 or 2400..

You need to weigh your food.
just an example: oats will say 1/2 cup (so many grams, let's just use 30g) is 150 calories. if you weight out 30g of oats it will be about 1/4 cup. So if your using an actual 1/2 cup that's 300cal not 150.
Just an example and applies to everything you eat.Has your weight loss plateaued? Read this:
