Smile putting a myth to bed...

    hey guys

i'm not here to preach, just wanted to share my experience with my current nutrition plan which i've been on for about a month now and hopefully dispell the 'your body can only absorb 30g of protein in one sitting' myth.

i'm currently fasting for 23 hrs with a 1hr eating window each day. I workout for an hour around 3pm and eat at 6pm.

    my usual 6pm 'MEAL':

    4 whole eggs
    500ml semi skimmed milk
    1 cup organic porridge
    50g peanut butter
    60g whey protein
    1 banana
    15g blueberries
    15g raspberries
400g meat (either chicken, lean beef or fish)
    200g broccoli
    200g carrots

all this adds up to well over 30g of protein in one sitting, however over the past month i've seen strength gains in all areas of my workouts and have definitely put on some lean mass. surely my body must be absorbing all the protein im eating otherwise this wouldnt happen?

    any feedback greatly welcomed!

    thanks

    woody

I didn't think anyone has believed that myth for years now. Sadly I don't think Javilionaire and bkuma were joking with their comments.
No need to over-think this lifting weights business.

Well, he doesn't have a lot of voluminous food there, so that could explain it. I eat all my calories in a 4 - 7 hour window, as well, but with around 2 kg of veggies, there's no way I could do it that fast, either.
