Sup guys. Trained with a guy at work yesterday..He did legs, but he always work's out alone, and our school gym here at work is..mediocre at best. I basically went with him because he always asks me too and i wanted to check it out and see if I could help him along any. I gave him a few pointers, BS'd with him a bit, and did my routine in between. Here it is;

Son of a bitch. I just typed out like 6 paragraphs, filling everyone in on some personal ****, and the net went down..guess I'll try this again;
Hi everyone, what I'm about to post is basically an inside to my last few months of my life, where I've been, and what's wrong. I cant stress enough that if you don't want to read this, by all means don't, but I'm taking the time to type this because I want to share with you guys
So, as many of you know, or maybe you don't, I take anti Depressants. One pill, every day, every morning, for the last 5-6 months. It started hitting me really hard that Erica left, and there was a brief time where suicide seemed to be the right answer. I even went to the point of texting my friends and family goodbye, and going out to the woods to end it. Clearly I didn't, but it's always a lingering thought.
Fast forward to a few months ago. I work at a school, as most of you should know. There's a teacher here, super cute, super funny, smart, just the total package. Aerobics instructor, everything. We've always been friendly, but I can't tell you if I had every had a conversation with her outside of work. She's been in a relationship for almost 5 years, I was always dating Erica, and recently she got engaged.
Well, long story short, we started hanging out, spending time together, hitting it off to the point where I was driving up here twice a day (90 min drive there and back) just to spend another hour with her, or 20 mins, or whatever. One thing led to another, and next thing we were basically dating. I was going to her apartment on her free periods to hang out. We ended up sleeping together multiple times, and when we weren't, there was always other physical things going on, (you can use your imagination here). I was truly dating this girl, who had a fiancé. She would face time me every night before bed, if she had a weekend off from dorm duty and went home to her parents, and to visit her fiancé she was texting me regularly about how much she missed me, and was thinking of me, and was in love with me...
To shorten this up, eventually her friends caught me driving up there, and sat her down to tell her she was making a mistake. She was engaged to a man that loved her, she loved him, etc. Most of the school knows, or has a good idea, and eventually even her fiancé found out…which is where this gets even more tricky. She's moving 2 hours home in a week, now that school is over, and isn't resigning to work here next year. She's done..and now that he knows about us, our relationship which has no longer been physical, is incredibly difficult. She wants to be my friend, and see me, and talk to me, and he wants the exact opposite, so she does this, 1/2 and 1/2 stuff for now, and promised me when she gets home she's going to tell him that she misses me too, and that we're friends.
Also, as some of you may know. I'm a pot advocate, in a sense. I'd never smoke and go to work, or smoke if I had some responsibilities to take care of, but I found that it helped me eat and sleep, which over the past few months has been awful. There's nights I haven't slept at all, and most nights I sleep just a couple of hours. I've lost a lot of weight, probably a lot of strength, all because my nutrition and sleep is miserable now. I've basically made a habit of getting home, probably not lifting, and getting high just to listen to music, and numb myself from everything…sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't..
Finally, my living situation. I have a decent job. My boss is a great guy, my pay is "okay", I'm not breaking my back, and I'm comfortable in my role here. My best friend, Dave, lives just outside Charlotte, and has been begging me for years to make the move for good and live with him and his fiancé. (he'll be married in a few months). My town that I live in currently, is kind of a dead end. I stuck around here for the wrong reasons, (Erica, now Caitlin..) I have a few friends here, who have been my friends for ages..but truthfully..we don't do much. I sit here on the day to day and I'm alone..wishing I had that companionship. Where Dave is, he's constantly out with his fiancé and friends, and they're always doing something. I wouldn't leave my job this summer, because my boss is about to have his first child, and after everything he's done for me, I wouldn't want him carrying the weight here with something so important on his plate..but I did sign a clause in 90 days that I can re-evaluate my situation and see what I want.
Anyways, with all that being said, I'd just like to truly say thanks, and I love you guys..to anyone who actually took the time to read that. I know these problems might seem silly, but to someone who is depressed ,it's not that I think I have it the worst in the world..it's that I can't cope with what I deal with on a day to day basis regardless. I'll be pushing myself to get back into the gym, and at least post in everyones log to try to get myself going again..but that's where I've been.

Read it all. I had a similar experience when I was in my senior year of college. My girlfriend dumped me and I was depressed and partying a lot to cope. I remember feeling like life was over and why would God put me through all this. Fast forward about 5 years and I met my wife I realize now that what seemed horrible before was a blessing in disguise. I say make the move. Hell even talk to your boss and discuss it with him. Tell him as much as you feel comfortable to and I bet if he is the guy you say he is he will be happy to help you move now

First off. Thanks everyone for the replies. As of right now, idk what's going to happen. I definitely dont plan on going anywhere yet, not just because I don't want to burden my boss, but because my lease isn't up until October. In August, I'm going down there for a week for Daves wedding, (I'm the best man) and the festivities, so if I still feel that way a few weeks prior, I might just pack up and head out then. Idk. It's definitely a lot to think about, and it's definitely an unhealthy situation being here, so we'll see.. Now, on to the lifting.

that was quite a "juicy read...........
i agree with much of what has been said by others in here, ie: move, stay positive, get on with living, don't abuse your body, etc.
i am an advocate for goal setting in all aspects of life. i see so many people on these boards that train methodically and have clear, attainable goals for their efforts in the gym but nothing outside of that setting. you mentioned many things that you desire so set some goals based upon those things and shoot for the moon. set a goal for anything and everything (results goal), pick a time to complete it by (deadline) and then create and work a plan backwards to achieve it (activities). i drive my wife nuts with all the notes and reminders around the house but it works. and every time you accomplish one, it's yet another pat on the back that you earned-that YOU earned

Got in there today and did work. I was hoping to get more than 1 rep for 340 DLs, but honestly Idk if I've ever even pulled 340 before successfully, and I pulled this well so I'll take it.
