    Carb Blocker for Cheat Meal?

Just curious if anyone used or knew the effectiveness for using White Bean Extract before a cheat meal? I do not want to use this as a crutch but it sure would be nice to have once a week when me and my wife go out for a good dinner if it works.

    Thanks!

Depending on your diet chest meals are some times needed and should not be messed with. So a carb blocker would make the cheat meal ineffective. Cheat meals are used to keep your metabolism on your toes. I eat out like once every 2 weeks for a cheat meal. If your diet is in check and it calls for a cheat meal you don't need a carb blocker.

Just eat the damn cheat meal and don't worry about it so much. Now, if you are going to worry then I'd say it best to AVOID that cheat meal...

Methodology of GDA's are something that's contested quite often. Like others said, eat the cheat meal and don't be so hard on yourself. It's necessary to maintain sanity at times

I do completely understand keeping your metabolism ramped up with a cheat meal every now and then, but let's spin it another direction and say you are going on vacation for a week? It just seems to me if they are SAFE first and foremost, why not use them every now and then when you know you'll have a starchy meal or two?

as I have heard from many people, don't do "cheat meals" just eat what you like in moderation and it will allow you to enjoy without gorging yourself in disgusting amounts of "unclean" foods

Oh they're safe, and there are benefits to taking them. But they do not erase the carbs you ate, you're still calorically responsible for those calories. I've seen reports that they increase the insulin response, but do not shuttle them directly to muscle for immediate use.

They help, and plenty have used them with success. As far as a vacation, I would vote that if you were eating cheat meals daily during the entire week, then no GDA would save you.
