Woke up with some good shoulder DOMS for sure from all that benching. Back feels much better today from teh crappy rows that I did. Ate like a beast as well 4300 cals. Rest day today then Deadlifts tomorrow.
In other news. march 29th is the date we have planned for the C-section for the arrival of our new baby. Looks like I'll be in Pittsburgh for probably a week so won;t get any training done from the 29th till the following Thursday or Friday.OG

Overall...KILLER day in the gym. back and hips felt great when I work up. Today's workout was a bit longer as my buddy I haven't seen in 2 weeks was there so we were doing catch up. These will definitely build my grip up. week 1 in the books ans so far loving the 10*3 set up. Got a date with the wifey tomorrow night, dinner and a movie...can't wait.OG

Running without stretching just makes things worse. I could see not foam rolling (even though it's fu#king awesome to speed up recovery and I do it daily), but without corrective stretching I'd be completely wrecked from sitting at my desk and lifting 4+ times per week for sure. I used to not stretch regularly and the few months I've been doing it daily now have shown me how stupid I was. Even 20mins a day will make a massive difference, if you stretch properly. There is also a supposed anabolic component of stretching and foam rolling, because it activates other parts of your nervous system (which is how it speeds up recovery). Lifting is mostly catabolic, but needed for growth and strength adaptation obviously (which is why we all do it). Stretching and foam rolling is part of the other side of things to create a balanced, strong body.
I definitely think there is some truth to the following quote: "You can't outrest soreness, but you can outwork it." - http://mythicalstrength.blogspot.deLifting Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=147159883
