Not sure what your past job was, but we're in a pretty good area with lots of jobs, while the pickings are a lot more slim, due to the number of people looking, you should be able to get something soon, hang in there! Get your resume cleaned up, best of luck in your search man.

But yeah, I was told yesterday morning. We heard rumors about layoffs coming for days but didn't know who would get impacted. But I heard some people got to work and their badges didnt' work and they couldnt' get in the building. That was a sh!tty way to find out. So we all thought we were in the clear since we didnt' have issues getting in.

But this isnt' the end of it. Article in the paper says 550 were layed off and there's more planned in 2013.

I used to work for a steel company and they did something similar. They let go 1300+ in one day back in '08. Good luck bro.

No, I can't relocate right now. I have an 8yr old son living with my ex in the area, so I have to stay around here for him. He's still at the ages where he needs a dad around. I think if I had no kids, I'd be in LA already though, cause I got a friend who was going to get me a position a few years back when I got layed off before. But I wasn't willing to relocate cause of my son either.


But damn...I just realized that I will no longer have access to buy EAS whey protein cheap anymore! I'm going to have to see if I can get someone I know to let me use their account to buy stuff for myself still.
