I'm guessing you mean elbows flared opposed to tucked. When you do the traditional, flare your elbows, your chest is gettin the most work. The tucked, IMO, is more for tricep work since you keep your elbows closer to your body

Assuming that you were talking about grip, and not elbows, here's a hypothetical.

On the seated cable row, use a one-hand attachment, using a range of grips, simulating the opposite movement of the bench press.

Turn your palms facing up, facing in, facing down, and then try to face them out. Notice the difference in stress that each grip puts on your shoulders, and how easy it is to pull back with each grip.

This tension will alter the kind of work that your chest performs on bench press.

its called a reverse grip bench. i think it hits your chest better. i've seen a few clowns do it at the gym and i've only ever seen 1 jacked guy whose done it. everybody else whose done it looked like ***gots or idiots or people who like to run marathons and think they are so strong and fit and cut.

just bench or DB bench with a regular grip....oh and don't forget the thumbs... i've seen people bench with a so called suicide grip. no thumbs. if the bar slips, there is nothign to stop it. and bam weight crashed into your rib cage or rolls down onto your neck. Thats why decline bench is found "dangerous" it will get stuck right in your neck under your chin if the bar is dropped.
