Opti VS. C-Labs ---> Oils and Multis

I have decided to get into taking fish oils and a multi again. I stopped for about a year. I know, lifting without a multi I fail.

Anyway, what is my best move here as far as economizing vs effectiveness?

Optimen + Opti Fish Oil = roughly $0.54 per day, if I take 3 fish oils and 3 multi per day.

Orange Triad + Oximega = roughly $0.98 per day If I take 6 multis and 2 fix oils.

Is the CL pair TRULY worth nearly double the cost per day?

I know triad has the joint support but I've taken both products in the past, and it did nothing for me. The only thing I hate about optimen is the pills fall apart after a few hours in a pill case.

Yea, I've been using OT and oximega since January. I like OT for it's digestive enzymes and the joint support.

OP, you're paying extra but...they're pretty good man! I know how you feel though...I said the same thing when I first saw the price lol.

I used to take Oxi and Triad but I didn't feel the Joint support did anything for me to justify the cost. Like I said my main reason for liking triad is the damn pills dont fall apart.

Do I REALLY need to take 6 of them a day? Or is half that sufficient for the average person.

if your diet is balanced and you get some decent micronutrient content, then you would be fine half dosing most good multi-vitamins, and OT is definitely a good one

LOL is this even a question?

Orange Triad = WAY WAY WAY better than opti-men. If OT was a dollar a day, and opti-men was $0.10 a day, OT was still be a better deal. OT is a true, quality multi. Opti-men is just a whatever multi that's better than nothing and cheap.

As for the fish oil, Orange Oximega is going to be better but ultimately if you take enough of any fish oil supplement, you're going to get your needed EPA/DHA content. But understand that "1 serving" isn't always correct. I know the kirkland signature fish oil I got was super cheap, and it recommends you take 3 pills a day. If I look at the ingredients I'd need closer to 8 or 9 a day to get what I need, so ultimately it's not that cheap.

alright alright you guys made your point.

Orange Triad is in my cart. (comes with 10 serving white flood so it just became more valuable)

So now the question remains, oxiomega worth the money as well or just get a cheap fish oil as long as I make 1000mg a day EPA/DHA?

EHA/DHA in oximega is good, it is a solid fish oil. i take it. that being said lots of people take cheap-o fish oil and rant about them.

    As far as multi.

I went from some lame brand/no name / cant remember to Orange Triad. And to be completely honest, I felt a difference. Most likely from the added joint support. Hard to explain, but OT works. And I will never switch away from it.

As far as fish oil, get the highest EPA/DHA you can find.

Come on, a multivitamin doesn't make you healthier or prevents you from getting sick. If you eat a normal diet you don't need to supplement.

lol, I would say you probably should supplement if you eat a normal diet.

In a micronutrient excess with varied sources, it becomes less important for sure. But the majority of people have quite a bit lacking in their daily diet.

You're so wrong. Read the Havard Public School of Health and the Linus Pauling Institute website and you'll notice people in the Western world don't lack nutrients. Maybe some vitamin D but that's about it. Oh and this is about the general population who eat a ****ty diet to begin with. There is a reason why vitamins are unregulated and not recommended by health experts. We don't need them!

I have, I dont fully agree with you. I do see the point that many make, but in practicality I believe there are circumstances that find them beneficial.

Forget about me, you're disagreeing with health experts from Harvard and the Linus Pauling Insitute. I just noticed you sell vitamins for a living (pathetic!!), but I'll give you a fair chance to prove them wrong. Where is the data we do need a multivitamin?

What circumstances? What evidence do you have to support your argument?

I do realize Im most likely speaking with VitaminVendetta, in which case there is no real point in arguing as you are just going to get belligerent for no reason.

But even health experts such as Alan Aragon (one of the top athletic focused nutrition researchers in the country) recommend multivitamins to their clients. (at least in certain situations, whether it be due to being on a cut or due to the tunnel vision many fitness minded people get when planning their meals)

You're speaking with who? Sorry, I don't know who that person is and I've never heard of Alan Aragon either. Could you refer me to a scientific paper or website of this researcher? The head of sport science of the British Olympic Association (Marco Cardinale) doesn't recommend a multivitamin for the same reasons. It was just on the news here yesterday.
