At what point does technique not matter any more and strength and power just override anything
Here is GSP, he is 5'10" 170lbs
this is Brian Shaw, he is 6'8" and 460lbs
Both athletes are at the top of their sport, who would win in a no time limit fight?

Depends if Shaw has any take down defense at all. IF GSP can take him down, he'd ground and pound or submit him for the win. Standing however, I don't think GSP could damage him.
Fight and you may die. Run and you will live at least awhile. And dying in your bed many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for
one chance, just one chance, to come back here as young men and tell our enemies that they may take our lives but they will never take our freedom!

what does lifting things and putting them down have to do with fighting? look at mariusz pudzianowski, 5 times worlds strongest man and he sucks balls at fighting.
gsp would hurt him easily, just cause he can lift a lot of weight doesnt mean he cant feel pain. the only way i can see him standing a chance is cause of his size but all that does is constrict his movement which is very important in a fight to be flexable and quick
gsp gets my vote..

lol at sumo video
shaw could grab an arm and a leg, put his foot on gsp's back, and deadlift his limbs off. pretty sure shaw would get knocked out before he could get his hands on gsp
the point was at what point to skill not triumph. you think he sucks because he fought a guy in his own weight class. talking about a guy 6'8 and 2.5 times the weight, pure strength, against a skilled but smaller personsemper fidelis 04-08 0311

No matter how big you are, if you have a glass chin you are going to go down. Even though GSP relies on "lay & pray", he still knows how to strike. Shaw probably has never even been taught how to throw a proper punch which involves using your first two knuckles so you don't break your hand and using your body to put power behind it.
GSP all the way. Trained elite MMA fighter would crush any elite strongman any day.US Army - 11A

of course shaw could win if he happened to get a hold of him, he'd just over power him if GSP didn't slip away. shaw could literally mold and shape GSP if he had a good grip on him
but, GSP is a trained fighter, shaw isn't. my vote would go to GSP, but I wouldn't be incredibly surprised if shaw actually did win and if he did, it would likely be from submission, not ko or tkoonion crew

Actually Hackney was getting pounded on early in that fight. He was just lucky that Yarborough (the sumo) went full retard and pushed him out of the octagon which caused the fight to be broken up and re-started.
All a guy like would have to do is keep his hands near his face to protect his chin and then cut off the octagon until he can grab you..... and once he does... goodnight sweet prince. Shaq isn't some fat fuk who can barely move.... he's pretty athletic and if he put you in a bear hug he'd probably snap your spine.
Laraque isn't a strong man and he's almost 200 lbs lighter than Shaw lol....
