How many calories are needed per day to put on 1 kg daily?

I was just wondering. Issue is just not he calories but the added fat that comes with it (but moderate amount of fat is fine with me).

I would say at least 3500-4000 calories would be enough to put on 1 kg of weight daily.

    What do you guys think??

Dude, nobody can answer this question. It is completely subjective to the person in question and their TDEE. Do you think it takes the same amount of calories added to Coleman's diet as it does for yourself to see the same weight increase?

Just add 10-20% over TDEE, and that is the best you can do to target muscle growth with limited fat gain.

Congratulations, you just wasted two hours of your life." Martin Berkhan

Not sure if i understood the question but 1 kg of fat is 7700 calories so aim for your TDEE + 7700 calories?

1kg a day! buddy, you are going to get fat, I mean really fat. If you put on 1kg every day you will put on 30kg in a month, of which virtually all will be fat. If we say that 3-5 kg of muscle can be built in a year, that makes 0.25 - 0.42 kg of muscle in a month. Scale back your weight gain goals a little, a bit of fat is fine but at the rate you are recommending would be crazy.

you would need around 7000calorie SURPLUS to gain 1kg per day (3500calories = 1lb) ....it's prettymuch impossible if you eat normal food.
lets' say you're an average male, that means around 9500calories a day total, provided you can get it in you and actually digest it.

    thats about 95 bananas
    or
    2kg's or sugar
    or
    17 BigMacs

LOl, ofcourse I am not going to do anything too crazy like eating 7000 calories a day and that also loads of fats.

But I do remember gaining about a kg daily few years ago when I was drinking a lot of bulking shakes and at the same time I was putting a belly too.

I think I will be close to 1 kg daily if I consume somewhere around 4000 cals, which is possible. Lots of chicken in it too, so I will be avoiding loads of fat.

3500 calories per lbs of fat, 2.2 lbs per kg... so you need a surplus of 7,700 calories.

So maintence + 7,700 calories. If you had read the stickies you would know this.

Eat every day more than 7000 kcal? Wow, good luck dude. After a month you should start a 58 week cut (Assuming you stay at a 500 kcal deficit and you gained 1 kg of muscle).

there is some discepency depending form the source but from every college textbook to professor to study the upper limit your body can physiologically synthesize is around 1 pound per week. And that is nearly impossible. "essentials of strength and conditioning" has put the limit of what is actually possible around .25 to .5 pounds per week of actual muscle and even getting that routinely woudl be spectacular.

Most people would need a huge array of drugs to put on .5 pounds of pure muscle a week.

I'm not being sarcastic when I say this but to do this I assume you are pretty advanced and doing one of those crazy "hyper saturate" drug protocols. Since we can't discuss do you mind pm'ing me what you are doing I'm just curious?

In the small change you are just doing this natural trying to gain more than a pound a day you do realize two things are going to happen....

    1. literally over 90% of your weight you put on will be fat/water. Actually probably more like 95-99%

    2. You have genetics that are FAR...and I mean like 100 times better than ronnie coleman and you are the only human being the world has ever seen who can put on muscle at that right. You are literally the first human of your kind and you put on extreme muscle and as I said have genetics that make guys like jay cutler, ronnie coleman, etc. look like chump change.

but I assume my first guess is accurate. This whole "hyper saturate" super dose and super eat thing is gettign popular...but it's dangerous.

Yeah it is dangerous and can lead to stomach and kidney problems.

But I can assure you that I was gaining half kg daily when I was consuming 2 serving of Weider Mega Mass 4000 daily and 1 bulking shake (consisting of 1000 calories). I did become super huge but at the same I was getting chubby and put on a big belly. Then I had to start playing cricket in summer during the afternoon to get rid of all the fat within 2 weeks.

    hahaha.

To bite back ... you can only gain so much muscle, regardless of how much you eat. So you weren't gaining any more muscle than a 10-30% surplus. So that's one of your troll theories hit for 6.
"Never attempt to train yourself into a caloric deficit. Don't spend hours on the treadmill. Diet comes first, cardio second. The dumbest fat loss strategy ever devised is used by people that wake up early in the morning before going to work to do cardio and follow that up with "recovery shake." Congratulations, you just wasted two hours of your life." Martin Berkhan
