Good lawd...and I got people griping about me raising our highest rates to $35. A year's contract is now $25. Rustles the shyt out of my jimmies that the gal (who I really like otherwise) I bought the gym from was like "eh, you'll have to see if you still need to keep paying your membership" and "eh, we make really good money otherwise, so whatever if you don't feel like paying on time or AT ALL" DAMMIT. You signed a contract...you spend that money on beer or smokes or fast food...I see you people doing it...and you can't pay $25/month for your health?

Debating whether it would even be worth it to pursue the worst offenders farther than threatening.

My gym insists on having a cc number on file to charge. Not sure if that would be feasible for you?

What sucks is that they have oly stations but they probably don't have special oly bars. Or if they do, they don't know enough to not let them be used interchangeably with other stuff. They're supposed to be laid flat on the floor when not in use and are NEVER to be placed in a rack because it'll ruin the spin which is important to oly lifting.

Oddly enough, 3 out of the 4 ARE oly bars.... but you're right, most people don't know the difference, and even for those that do, are they supposed to wait to use one bar between four benches/t bar when almost no one uses the oly platforms? Logic, not even once in this gym... smh.

Just got back from gym and occassionally they are people who drop their weights but goodness... this one guy threw down every freaking weight he picked up!!! Is that really necessary?

There is a guy at my gym that does this on everything. He was doing 35lb db curls, let out a huge roar, and then rotated his wrists and dropped them. He snatched them up and started doing bent over rows. On the eighth rep (counted loudly) he roars and drops the db from full height. Heaven forbid he is doing deads. I don't think he realizes you're supposed to take it back to the floor.

This. I seem capable of handling 45lbs plates without needing to throw or drop them. I am sure a guy twice my size can do it too. If he can't, he shouldn't be handling weight too heavy for him. If he won't he's an attention seeking douche.

There's a guy at my gym .. big guy 200+lbs
he'd deadlift 185, 225 with gloves on and slam the bar on the floor followed by a "**** yeah" or similar, every time ...like he just lifted 600lbs or does shoulder presses with 35lbs and drop the db every single time
what he doesn't know is that we're all making fun of him lmao

Well I had my headphones on while running so not sure what he was doing then because my back was to them. When I started my workout the first thing to drop was an ez curl bar with about 50lbs on it. True story!! Then the dumb bells hit the floor with bicep curls after EVERY set. Maybe 30lbers. He was standing in front of the dumb bell rack. Seemed easier to place them back then throw them.

And as far as the vagina and Obama thing... I hate politics and I too will be glad when the election is over with. I don't see why people would assume you would pull for a certain candidate because of your sex. I just don't like him and I ain't voting for him-vagina or not!!!
