Took hubby 2 days to put the floor into my sons room. I love him to death but he is so the slowest person of life. Stare at the piece, cut the piece, stare at the piece, line it up with floor, stare some more, check to make sure it is perfect, stare some more, install piece. I asked him why it took him 2 days to put in the flooring and he said the most time was taken up prepping the floor. So I decided to prep my other sons floor. 1/2 later I am done and cleaned up.
I often think things must be complicated and difficult. Then, I find myself in the position to do it myself. Taking out a toilet does not take 3 hrs. Taking down a light fixture to prep the wall for paint should not take an hour.
And he wonders why I do things like rip out carpets without waiting for him.Squats and Maple syrup son. Squats and Maple syrup.

Tried to give a girl advice on her form. She might as well have told me to go fuk myself between her response and the look she gave me.
I should have told her to enjoy her neck problems she will have eventually.
I've always been back and forth about whether to say something to someone in this situation. Lesson learned. I won't do it again!!!Danielle xoxo

The rush? There is no actual rush. But I like to actually do things sometimes. And when my hubby spends an entire weekend laying 100sq feet of laminate flooring it make me want to rip my hair out. I need change during the weekend. Not the same old same old of watching my kids while my husband works.

Fawn, never complain when someone does something for you so that you don't have to do it yourself! Just be grateful.
Dani, I agree. People think they know it all.

I'm trying Penny. I actually would prefer to do it myself and then spend the weekend having fun with him and the kids. Unfortunately, I am not skilled in the arts of cutting things the right length. Why? That sounds so simple. I don't know why, but every time, I end up with a lot of scrap material, lol.

I was married to a very careful and meticulous man...which is great it meant things got done right the first time
<<<<see this woman? patience is something I do not always have..
he would look at me and if I had a certain I am now going to lose my friggin mind look on my face he would say something like
"well kids which one of you wants to go with your mom to fetch some lunch"
I was all for standing and helping or handing him things or fetching and carrying but....could only do it for so long and then I had to have a break
he used to tease me and say he was gonna buy me a 5000 piece jigsaw puzzle and watch and see how long I would work on it..
I'd just laugh and tell him about long enough to rip the box open and pitch that summa b*tch right across the room

I just installed my new kitchen faucet. Told my husband if he came anywhere near the project I'd break his neck...
I hate it when my husband attempts certain projects. There's usually tons of yelling, swearing and god forbid the man acutally read any directions...makes me rage!National Level Competitor (Female BB)

I dont mind working on the house, most of the time I am always under a car on the weekends, whether its mine or family members, I enjoy it actually. Just finished with my dads house replacing the whole kitchen counters, went with black marble tops all over the kitchen, one shee twas 8 by 6 feet and it was heavy bringing in to the house.
