The gym I go to, nobody talks. It is headphone city. If you didn't come with a bro, you are on your own. The conversation never goes past, "you need to work in?" The other guy answers and the headphones are back in place. You can tell nearly every guy in there is there to decompress. Which makes some sense since it is attached to a large private university.

A lot of the females are just their for the fashion show. The ones that are really there to get a hard workout are completely in their own world. I sat up on the bench after a set and there was a chick stretching out before squats. I was there first, but the look she gave me, death with a side of mangling. I sat facing sideways between sets. So many of the females are confrontational it is crazy.

Hahahahaha I love it. Honestly I can see that making friends in the gym would be a bad idea but it's not just the gym, yknow? I've been out and approached girls to ask about their tattoos etc and they just roll their eyes and make it look like they're doing you a favour replying.

RL friends are not being too bad atm, I'm actually happy with most of them. Distanced myself a lil so now I don't care too much what they do but it's fun to have people to do shiit with all the time.

You might not have been. It seems to be more of a teenage female thing. Girls were like that when I was in high school. We just didn't have Youtube and ******** to plaster it out there for the entire world. That was the day when 56kbs was fast for most people. Napster debuted the year I finished up senior high. Even then most people picked seven or eight songs and went to bed. When you woke up you had half of a good album, or all the good songs from most albums being released in the 1990s.

In other words. Those kids always existed, it was just easier to avoid them.

I always encourage people to look in to International Money Fund rescue loan obligations. Then look at the direction the economy has been driven by bankers and the government since the 1980s. This is a mess at least three decades in the making. Nobody can blame any single president from the last 16 years for this mess. It has been a cooperative effort between the government, business, and banks for decades.

A big part of it does fall on the workers and us as citizens though. We have grown to feel entitled and hate work. A lot of people were raised to believe that they needed to get a degree to avoid ending up in a "dead end" job like an auto mechanic or plumber. They were also taught to avoid taking blame and responsibility. How many times have you seen someone be told they did something wrong only to reply with, "I know but it wasn't my fault because. . ."?

I agree. I've done everything from scrub toilets to record and mix albums in Nashville. Now, I'm working for a PD. There is no such thing as a dishonorable job when the bills come due. (As long as it is legal.) I tell my kid, you can be whatever you want. If you want to be a pilot, drive a bus, or try to become a diplomat I don't care. Just be happy.

I've made a bundle and I've been broke as a joke. Looking back, the money never made me any more happy. The best moments come from the journey of life. I had more fun working on an album in a two room studio than I did working with the number one artist in the country. Right now I feel like I do more good for the world than I ever did in the entertainment industry.

A very wise man once told me, "money is nothing but sweat. You can make the choice to control it, or you can let it control you. It has no power other than what you allow it." It took some hard knocks, but I learned he was right. I also learned that the more time you spend chasing and focusing on that extra dollar, the more you sacrifice the important things in life. You can honestly only focus so much energy on one thing at a time. I know we love to believe we can multi-task. It is an illusion though. Time and energy are finite resources. If you're investing them on one thing you are taking them from another. Unfortunately a lot of people invest their resources without stopping to consider the true cost.

You all need to join my gym. Several state and regional competitors, lots of helpful and appropriately social people.

Most of the women actually get along and many of them work out together! And when the men and women visit, no one gets all, "There's gonna be some D exchanged!"

It's like a small utopia...old gym was not so friendly.
