My front door neighbor has OCD and has to clean everything in a totally mentally ill way. So she is constantly hosing down the driveway like 3 times a day. Which means that by night time the place is crawling with big red roaches. One of these days I am going to feed them to her, see if it cures her problems.

RL friends are not being too bad atm, I'm actually happy with most of them. Distanced myself a lil so now I don't care too much what they do but it's fun to have people to do shiit with all the time.

I'm fascinated by how tarantulas look. However, if I ever saw one in person creeping around the house, I don't think fascinated is what I'd be. I'm not terribly afraid of tiny little spiders. It's when they get big and hairy that I won't kill one.

Apparently there was a huge pregnant spider in our pool once and my estranged husband picked it up and threw it on the ground not knowing it was pregnant.....and when it hit the ground, all the little baby spiders started scuttling all over the place. He said it was the grossest thing he ever saw.... and I am glad I was not around to witness it is all I have to say LOL

GROSS lol. When I was 9 there was a MASSIVE one in my bedroom that had crawled in through the window. Like the size of a big orange. My mum killed it and all the spider juice went on my pillow and it just shrunk into this tiny little ball. I cried so much for my pillow.

Not a single woman I know goes to the gym and talks to men. You'd think with your mentality you would actually hit the gym and talk to guys/girls to make friends.. But do you?

Personally, I'd have absolutely no problem with anyone approaching me to talk... But I'd think I fall into the intimidating category since I head bang to my Metal music inbetween sets.

It's not on the gym floor that I have troubles - it's the lockerroom! My old gym was awful. I'd cut my workout short so that I could hit the showers before the bodypump and spin classes got out. At precisely 7 am, 60 women would fly into a lockerroom with 8 showers and only 4 electrical outlets for hairdryers. Pandemonium. Every woman for herself. Worse than WalMart on Black Friday. Worse than Firemen-Signing-Their-Calendars at the Hudson's Bay Company.

I'd be bent over blowdrying my hair (because it's faster), and inevitably some bare arse would slam my head into the counter. Who the heckle needs that in the morning? Then the pushing and shoving to get at the free lotion dispenser on the wall. Really? Here's $15 - go buy some CeraVe!

Holy hell. I needed a crash helmet just to get ready at the gym (which really defeats the purpose of blowdrying and styling one's hair to begin with).

it was a cooperative effort between the government and its people.
and until people stop looking to the government 'for change,' then things will remain the same or get worse.

whether obama won or not--i still have a lot within my power to control in my own financial and career life.

I always encourage people to look in to International Money Fund rescue loan obligations. Then look at the direction the economy has been driven by bankers and the government since the 1980s. This is a mess at least three decades in the making. Nobody can blame any single president from the last 16 years for this mess. It has been a cooperative effort between the government, business, and banks for decades.

A big part of it does fall on the workers and us as citizens though. We have grown to feel entitled and hate work. A lot of people were raised to believe that they needed to get a degree to avoid ending up in a "dead end" job like an auto mechanic or plumber. They were also taught to avoid taking blame and responsibility. How many times have you seen someone be told they did something wrong only to reply with, "I know but it wasn't my fault because. . ."?

Okay, I'm starting to have trouble getting it all to come out properly. Long day in the gym and dealing with life. Too sleepy to stay coherent.

Luckily for me, my job does not dictate when I can and cannot hit the gym. Also, since I come from home and go straight home after, I don't need to go in the locker room. Ever.

The gym I go to, nobody talks. It is headphone city. If you didn't come with a bro, you are on your own. The conversation never goes past, "you need to work in?" The other guy answers and the headphones are back in place. You can tell nearly every guy in there is there to decompress. Which makes some sense since it is attached to a large private university.

A lot of the females are just their for the fashion show. The ones that are really there to get a hard workout are completely in their own world. I sat up on the bench after a set and there was a chick stretching out before squats. I was there first, but the look she gave me, death with a side of mangling. I sat facing sideways between sets. So many of the females are confrontational it is crazy.

Definitely see your point. In my 2.5 years in my current gym, I've only gotten 1 number. A 30 something year old woman powerlifter/PT, just because I wanted to lift one day with her. Only talked to like 4-5 girls altogether in the past 2 years too and it was either to give them advice, or to playfully neg the weight they're lifting.

No harm in meeting people though, at all, especially athletic women. Would at least like to date one before I die.
