    Forearm pain during Pendlay Rows...

I started incorporating Pendlay rows back into my strength program a few months ago after a break of several years. I've never lifted very heavy relatively speaking (probably around 170 max for reps of 5) The reason I stopped originally was increasingly severe forearm pain during the lift which started affecting me outside the gym. Sure enough....I've hit about 135 pounds this week and I'm starting to feel the early signs of the same thing happening again.

Any ideas for what may be the issue or what areas of my lift to trouble shoot?

I don't usually here about people gettin forearm pain from rows. Try squeezing the bar hard as **** during your rows. Some people say you should relax your arms and focus on your back so that your arms just act as hooks but I don't buy that. I mean, it's a compound exercise? Maybe somebody else here can help you better. I'd just say squeeze the bar. It's helped me. Good luck.
